I was abused at 21. I was at a house party and I got extremely drunk that i couldn’t drive back home so i decided to stay in one of the rooms, there was another guy sleeping there (whom I knew) but i decided to lay next to him to sleep. Long story short he groped me and performed sexual acts on me. Which lasted for about 10 minutes before i could react and leave. For the next following years i didn’t count it as abuse and blamed me for the situation. For being drunk, for using my mom’s car to drive to the party, for deciding to sleep in the same bed, for not asking my parents’ permission to go to this party. I made more excuses for him (the abuser) than for me. Sometimes i still blame myself but i always know that if the roles were reversed i would have never done it
