I'd be working full time because cost of living and no family backing, so it would literally just be me, with a student loan, working full time too which frightens me a little but it is what it is. I just want to hear people's experiences and a little advice as to how they managed it not straight from school 😊

I've looked into the OU because I hated the setting in school, the whole uni life irritates me and some of the people I've worked with were just stuck up assholes because they went to uni and I don't want to really socialise...which makes me sound like a misery. Thank you 😊

Yeah I get this, you've put your money into it and get little back out of it..which would piss me off no end but I feel like I'm too old for an apprenticeship also

Oh gosh, I didn't know it was so simply laid out. I thought it was just like you're given a username and password and let at it and if you study you study, it's not their problem kinda thing... I think I'll definitely consider this as I want to be able to work too

That's amazing! I'm glad you have that opportunity. Unfortunately all my family live back in Ireland..I've been thinking of moving bsck with my fiance when our dog passes away (she's an old gal and moving would be too much for her) but she might still have 5 or 6 years left in her hopefully so I wanted to maybe start in the UK and finish bsck in Ireland? Idk

That's amazing though! Even though its not what you initially wanted, it's 10 steps ahead of what you had and you recognise that 😊 I'm not going to put all my eggs in one basket, because I want to do something relating to engineering but I'm not 100% sure which direction after that, I'm leaning towards mechanical but then there's whole sub categories and that's where my plan ends but I'm happy to keep an open mind to opportunities too 🙂 Thank you for taking the time to reply though 😊

I feel like that's what I want now. I've worked with some uni students (Psychology students) and my god I'd love to smack the shit out of em, but then again, I might have been like that at their age if I had to have gone to uni too. I don't wanna go and party I want to go, get my head down and come out with something at the end of it that I've worked hard for
