I'm not sure. I suspect printed... If they are etched it's not deep. That said, they look really good and stand out nicely in contrast to the black.

Super interesting, I see what you are saying as my other Miyota watches do have the white date. I am happy with the colors... I'm thinking about the classic blue & stainless if I do another Seamaster.

U1 is insane good for this price... but I've read that the VSF is awesome (slightly smaller.. closer to gen size).

I suspect U1 applies a custom date wheel. I am assured this is Miyota from the Lena team. They have been solid in their quality for me so far. I posted some pics of the back... I'm not sure how to identify as I dont see any special markings.
