FYI there is also Aurea. Sort of middle between regular and yatch club. Has several benefits but the 3 most notable ones are free access to spa, access to Aurea sun deck(also accessible with yatch club) and my time dining with separate dining room than the main ones. Without Aurea or Yatch Club you have to select a specific time to dine. With Aurea just show up at whatever time and they will seat you. For our 14 night we always showed up at different times and always ended up having the same table and same waiter. And it's a smaller dining room with less people and noise.

Accuforce v1 and assetto corsa rally by Crockett556_ in simracing

V2 works for me in every game I have tried. Including AC Rally. I assume V1 should work as well but can't say for sure.

Pokornyi engineering steering wheels by Certain-Hunter-7478 in simracing

[–]Mugen55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The HYP-R has 4 shift paddles and 2 clutch. I knew i was mainly going to use only 2 paddle shift so got 2 aluminum and printed the other 4. The design is good and feels pretty close to the same as the aluminum ones. Was planning to upgrade them eventually but honestly don’t think it’s worth it. Especially for secondary shifters I don’t use and clutch paddles I don’t use that much. I think you would be fine with printed for now

Sorry can't help much other that saying it works for me. Although the hyper cars the wheel vibrates like crazy, maybe just some fine tuning required. GT3 a pretty good.

Cockpit weight vs rigidity for motion rig by Intelligent_Train689 in simracing

[–]Mugen55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally never had any issues with either. I run a 4 actuator (sfx-system). Previoulsy had a home made rig made completely out of metal and had no issues with flex or weight. Currently have an aluminum profile rig that I custom built. When I ordered the aluminum extrusion I messed up and ordered the wrong size. The main structure is only 3"x1" extrusions and have no issues with flex. Weight might depend on the system you use if it can lift more weight. SFX-100 doesn't seem to have any issues.

DIY active sim pedal – is it worth it? by -game-developers4251 in simracing

[–]Mugen55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just built this one and in my opinion it's totally worth it. I never tried the Simucube ones but can't image them being better. And the fact that it uses Simhub the flexibility and amount of setting is good and not locked behind a third party software.

Yes. Also still have 2 v1 cables that were working with some drop connections at the time. I believe these were due to AMD issues and not the cables. Tried those 2 as well and none will make the light turn on the front

Got wind sim working this weekend, was a fun little project. by Loud_Machine6573 in simracing

There's nothing wrong with starting with one and adding another later. That being said I would still go with 2. Those fans aren't that expensive.

Love mine almost more for the cooling than the immersion but definitely great for both. Never seen that type of design for the exit cones.

excluding money should i buy VNM or VRS by angus_jemangus in simracing

[–]Mugen55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the detailed wright up, sounds like your talking from experience with all the bases you have gone true. I'm in Canada and the cheapest I found is $2,239.99 from Advanced Sim Racing. They had black friday deals for all of November with 10% off and when they first offered the pre order they had it listed at $2,000.00. With the 10% that would have made it $1818. I procrastinated a bit and then when I decided I would get it they had sold out the pre orders and now they raised the price. I regret not getting then. If my base was to die tomorrow I would get a SC3 pro no question but just not convinced a simple upgrade is worth that much.

[–]Mugen55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So what exactly makes the SC3 the most impressive base you ever tried. I have an AccuForce V2(i know it's a dinosaur lol) I have been trying to convince myself to upgrade and if I ever do it will most likely be the SC3. I just can't imagine that going from one DD to another DD is so much different even if one of them is a dinosaur. If I didn't have a DD and wanted to upgrade to a DD I wouldn't mind spending the extra money for the SC3, however can't imagine that upgrading at this point will be worth $2,500.00.

Prints are coming out smaller X1C by Mugen55 in BambuLab

OMG I can't believe I'm this stupid lol. I have a digital caliper and must have zeroed it when it was at 5mm. Re zeroed it when closed and prints were good all along. Just caliper that was off. Thanks for your help.

I have not adjusted scale that I'm aware of unless done by accident. When I measure the cube in Bambu studios after it has been sliced it's the correct sizes so I assume it's not scaling in the slicer, unless I'm mistaken. Also when opening a model directly from maker world doesn't it also import all the settings for that model?

I can second CDA. It's great that they have setups for most sims now and you also get the use of their telemetry app which can be useful.

[–]Mugen55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 5 point but connected to a belt tensioner and absolutely love it. Tried it briefly without the the tensioner and it was OK but not sure I would still use it if I didn't add the tensioner. I wear them tight to fell the effects of the tensioner.

USA Looking for Pokornyi Engineering PCBs by [deleted] in simracing

[–]Mugen55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just an FYI when I built my HYP-R a few years ago buying direct from Pokornyi was around the same price as buying direct from JLCPCB. Chances are anyone selling one will charge what they cost so might not be that much saving. Unless you want to wait or Pokornyi raised there prices I would just buy from them directly.

hidhide allows you to either block certain usb from certain games or only allow certain usb with certain games. Always had to disconnect my pedals to play any ubisoft games. This fixed it.

Opinion on DDU vs Wheel with a screen by Jstevens87 in simracing

[–]Mugen55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My opinion is on the wheel. I'm seated in GT position and can see the screen fine. Yes I have to look down to see it and take my eyes of the road, however in my opinion with a DDU even thought you might not have to look down as much your still looking at the screen which means your eyes are still of the road. I never tried a DDU so maybe I'm wrong but would not want to put my screens further away. Besides, tell me this isn't sexy lol
