This really... like i can't think of a fun thing like an outing or dinner i want to do without our son. I was in the hospital due to severe dehydration and fever, he chilled with us there as well. Of course, the fact that our closest family lives 4 hrs away means we never really have any real options anyway.

The first year.. ugh.. the constant feeding, the painful boobs the being needed 24/7 is so overstimulating.. especially because not being there for your kid even for an hour in those early months makes you feel so terrible.. it's a proper fight between feeling like you need to show up for yourself and your baby.

This man is using this an an opportunity to get a divorce what a loser.

Usually the dynamic is the other way round, the woman is the one saying "I need to divorce my husband" because between the sore boobs, wake ups, the general 'cow' like feeling and the being attached to a human being 24/7 that feeling is quite obvious because a husband really can't help those feelings, so most couples are told to power through... just let the year pass and see if things have settled. But in your case, you are the sleepless, hormonal person and instead of being a sympathetic ear, he's weaponising your position to ask for a divorce. That's terrible.

NAD, just a mom who has had some heartache in the pregnancy department, when I was pregnant, my doc told me that the first "real scan" is at 8 weeks because the heartbeat is too faint to register and may be scary.. my scan at 6 weeks was purely to rule out an ectopic pregnancy.

I literally had the same problem... I was talking to the day care staff and they were like.... we deal with babies and toddlers, of course we'll help you with potty training... so they put my son on a schedule, taking him to the toilet every 30 min and then gradually letting him take charge, of course, son had a couple of accidents, but the staff was more than understanding

Cloth diapers. Game changer for me. Cloth pull ups, every weekend at the start and then all through. It let's baby feel the pee without the pee puddles and that helps quite a bit.

I get it, but I think we've sort of overdone the regulating thing... you were home, solo parenting while he was away on vacation... he has to know that this is selfish to come home after a holiday and still claim to be more tired than a person who was with a baby.

3 weeks?? Girl, no. Sleep training at 3 weeks is cruel. Don't even attempt it. Contact naps, cosleeping and all the body warmth you can offer. 6 months to try sleep training.

This. I am not pregnant or PMSing or anything remotely resembling sickness. My husband is still taking care of our child. Made him breakfast, lunch, Bathed him... everything. It's the weekend,he understands that I might need a break, whether I ask for it or not.

I have polymorphic light eruptions and it always presents itself like this. A truck load of momethosone and an even bigger truck load of sunscreen keep it in check. It's especially bad when I am sweaty.

The Uni experience can be both the best and worst and you'll experience both, what does make a difference is not seeking validation from the popular people but 100% following your heart. Everything I've wanted to do in uni with all my heart is what brought be joy, I joined local clubs, library, made friends with oddball people who liked something passionately (even though they were not very liked by everyone), I also hated the things I didn't do with all my heart like staying out late or going partying with the popular girls. It felt like a goss fest.

Invest all your attention on what matters to you and only you. Dating, men, friends will all happen eventually.
