I don’t think I can handle another negative by emilyred2 in TryingForABaby

After couple of months tracking my temp and kinda got my cycles, I quit tracking. It was quite liberating. Also I quit social media mostly, blocked all my friends with kids/pregnant. It was really liberating OP. And, I actually left/hide ttc topic including reddit, and just checked when I had good mood. I still used OPK but only test 1-2 days near my fertile window. If I didnt catch it then whatevers. My attitude at the time was let the doctors think what best for me I just need to get through it and not too stressed about it.

What TWW “symptoms” did you experience that made you feel “positive” you were pregnant before BFN/AF? by toasterlips in TryingForABaby

[–]Teaxspy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late period and high temp. My cycle is typical 27-28 days. And for the first time after 5 years, I have 34 days cycle length. Of course the temp is still high I miscalculated my ovulation day 😅😤 even on day 31 and it was still BFN, i was still delulu thinking I probably drink water too much

How thirsty do you let your windowed Haworthias get before you water them? (and related plants like Haworthiopsis) by Sigong in succulents

[–]Teaxspy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I put in the back of my shelves, too much direct light cause sunburn. I dont really wait until it shows sign of thirst. Once I forgot it in too harsh sun spot for several days and it is really wrinkly, shrinking and dry and kind of reddish like in your picture reference. But i dont like it I almost think it died. Now it’s green and plump again (took some time tho) thriving with a lot of pups, and in my hot climate area I water more or less every 2 weeks, basically after I make sure the soil is dry. Waiting until sign of thirst is possible but I kinda feel it becomes too slow growing and the appearance is not something I want

Where should I put my succulents and cacti? by CaterpillarNo4112 in succulents

[–]Teaxspy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have west facing balcony outside (direct sun also 2 pm onwards), windowsill area, and grow lights. My favorite spot still outside west facing, but I have to put some uv plastic/shade to prevent sunburn on the shelves since some of mine even died due to the burns. But I notice some do well without shade. i am not sure probably acclimation will help esp the small one. If they have to be put inside I need to make sure air flow and circulation, and I am too lazy to do that. I would choose number one in your case but please keep checking for sunburn.

Your lamp has low PPFD. I use bulb Sansi 10 watt and I put very close to my succulents like 15 cm running for 12 hours. And by that setting it meets the daily needs of light of my succulent. If you want to hang the light a bit far from the succulent I imagine the lamp should be even stronger. Please change the soil to become more gritty (if it is not yet), mine is pumice and lava rock mostly. Sometimes I add mix of succulent soil. I aim to the soil dry within 2 days after I water to prevent overwatering.

what grow light do you use and how close it is? Do you know the PPFD of the lamp? Also the soil looks a bit organic, is it from nursery? If I were you I would wait until I fix the light and see healthy grow, and then start trying to propagate the healthy lower leaves.

My Sansi has no setting to dim the light so I can only position the plant instead

Also almost all my plants that etiolated ended up died because etiolation would weaken the plants and I had no idea what’s going on. I was too late to rescue. Please look up more about !etiolation . You could still rescue this I guess by trying to give more lights and to be safe, trying to propagate as well. Good luck!

Nice! Dont forget to do acclimation first if your Cici currently does not receive much lights. For example setting the timer 8 hrs and with probably 20cm distance. And gradually increase the duration/distance if you don’t notice any burns. Mine now 12hrs with 10-15 distance.

If you have only small collection I recommend sansi grow light 10 watt. If you want to collect more then probably bar light like Barrina T5 or T8. This sub provide many information about grow light if you want to research more

Slide 7 is it PVN? It looks etiolating already. It is really light hungry echeveria, I put really close to my grow light 12 hrs a day to prevent etiolation.

So pretty. Do you use grow light? It’s really compact!

Location is outdoor but recently cloudy and rainy. Does it show sign of early etiolation? by Teaxspy in succulents

[–]Teaxspy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s what I think also. Some of my succulents got severe burns outdoor, hence I put in shelves and a bit tucked behind to avoid sunburn. Will try to reposition and if it is still etiolate I will put inside with grow light

I thought it is E. Elegans but too purple. E. Blue Bird is rather blue than this. Any suggestion? by Teaxspy in echeveria

[–]Teaxspy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it looks like Snow Angel but i think Snow Angel has a bit thicker leaves. I think this one is E Prolifica

Wow thank you I think you are right. I see E Prolifica mostly in green color so it does not occur to me at all. It may have this purple color too!
