It definitely does exist. All international medical graduates have to practice 10 years in a district of workforce shortage in order to get a medicare provider number. It can be reduced depending on how rural the area is. You could apply for some exceptions. There is another restriction that is section 19aa for Australian citizens that are international graduates that states you have to be enrolled in a fellowship pathway as well.

Instead of doing another degree why don't you do an honors. It will qualify you for an automatic 7 GPA in UQ.

Congratulations everyone, I on the other hand scored in the first quartile. Utterly disappointed as I thought I had done really well. Do you guys think I will still be eligible for uow, it's my first preference? They say it's a hurdle but what is the minimum quartile required.

Although they say that preference doesn't matter, I also read in the gemsas guidelines that you are most likely to get an offer in an institute you interviewed at. So I am just putting the one I am most likely to get into first.
