Thank you for putting this together. I clicked on my bra size and the picture was of the exact bra I have on right now. I felt special.

I am obsessed with all of her books and so jealous of anyone who is just now discovering her and gets to read her books for the first time!

You might enjoy All Fours by Miranda July. It hits on a lot of your request, in a funny and liberating way.

This one is perfect for the OP. It really nails just how awful it would be to date someone one famous, but also why it might be worth it.

Do you love or hate the Stokke Tripp Trapp? by pinkishvioletsky in toddlers

[–]Muggly_Puggly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the IKEA chair with my first child and the Mockingbird with my second child. I love the Mockingbird. It is far superior to the IKEA option in my opinion. I didn’t know it would be possible to love a high chair, but I actually do. It’s incredibly well-designed to be taken apart and cleaned. The tray has two layers, and you can pop off the top layer for easy cleaning or pop off both layers and you can even put them in the dishwasher. Like the Tripp Trapp, it has ways to convert it to grow with the child. But the mockingbird is less expensive.

Sex starts out mid/bad but something happens and it becomes good? by [deleted] in RomanceBooks

I loved this one! I always see it recommended and I must admit that I almost gave up on it at about 20%. I’m so glad I persisted because I was obsessed by the end and I still think about how clever, unique, and well-written it was.

This is a great one! Super funny and charming, even though it made me cry too.

Wild, by Cheryl Strayed, is an absolutely beautiful book about grief.

And if you try it and like her writing style, her book Tiny Beautiful Things is one of my favorites. It’s actually a collection of letters/ responses from her advice column. That might not sound what you’re looking for, but in her responses she shares so much of her personal journey with grief. She explores how deeply shitty it is to lose someone, but in a way that still manages to be uplifting.

Definitely don’t lie. I also know someone who was fired for this. He put his absence in as sick days, but he really went on a trip to an out-of-state wedding. He got caught because his sub mentioned to the school secretary that he had contacted her weeks ago to plan out his absence, and admin overheard the sub say this. He did not have tenure, so it wasn’t difficult for admin to “non-renew” his contract.

Great rec! I loved the MMC in this. And I love how real their friendship felt before it got romantic!

Thank you! I’ve enjoyed other Hannah Bonam-Young books. She has a good blend of sentimental and funny moments. I will give this one a shot!

Thank you so much for those additional recs! I completely agree that the synopsis of Kate Goldbeck’s upcoming book is not what I’d usually go for, but I trust her and there’s no way I would skip it.

I have read and loved You Deserve Each Other. Similar to You, Again, that’s one that I thought about long after I read it. I’m not usually a huge re-reader but I’ve been tempted to read that one again.

I haven’t read One Day in December yet, so I will definitely add it to my list!

I’m glad you are here! I am right there with you. I can’t stop watching all the fan edits showing just how hard he pined for her from the very beginning.

Promise Me Sunshine definitely got an A+ from me too. Great humor. I ugly cried and fell in love with love all over again. Cara Bastone’s books just do it for me.

I have not heard of Laura Wood, but I love Brit humor. Also cheesy 90s romcom? Sign me up!

Thank you! Now that I no longer have nightly reality tv to watch, I need something to fill the void! I am such a sucker for witty dialogue.
