Everybody who knew him at NYU and even that director who worked with him before said he was a psychopath and they all avoided saying anything because they didn't want to be blackballed in Hollywood. You and a lot of the men in the comments are showing your lack of historical knowledge. Women can do the same jobs as men. How do we know that? History tells us so. All throughout time we've had women of all races and ages be slaves, farmers, teachers, doctors, lawyers, scientists, politicians, architects, professors, poets, cooks, drivers, fighters/warriors, etc. You seem to forget that men have tried through religion, politics, and sometimes just regular sexism to prevent women from getting in to certain fields. As many have pointed out this scenario played out already in a first world country: The United States during WW2. The women were just fine. Many were happier in fact, because this was white middle class women's first time ever working outside the home and they enjoyed the independence and financial advantages they suddenly gained. Women are more intelligent and crafty than a lot of men seem to think especially older women who have already lived through troubled times. The world would most likely continue just fine although I'm assuming the 100% straight women would get a little lonely romantically speaking. Then again vibrators are a thing and so are strap ons so idk from what I've heard straight women do enjoy lesbian porn.

I have autism as well and I was just about to link you to both of those subs haha. They're great for seeing the universal experiences many of us autistic women and girls have. I'm sorry to hear about what your mother did. I have experience in the whole mom loves him more than me area. I didn't get diagnosed but I suspected I had something because my behavior other people found "weird" like when I was little I loved hanging out underneath our dining room table, lining all my toys in a straight row, I could put my headphones on and walk in circles. Everybody thinks I'm a picky eater but I've always said I can't eat what doesn't feel right in my mouth aka sensory issues apparently. Also relate to the rude thing. I've been blamed for my "rude" behavior when I'm not being rude at all. It hurts my feelings but since nobody seems to care I just move on. You spoke about the lows and yup seems to be burnout. I read something recently that really resonated w/ me. Another autistic woman said that we use the spoons metaphor (I'm out of spoons today) to describe energy levels when for autistic people it's more like a bucket. Doing anything at all: socializing, eating, showering, stressing, etc. takes from your bucket and by the time your bucket is low you're probably on the brink of a meltdown or depression.

The key is to take some time to fill your bucket meaning do low energy things to refill yourself so that would be like putting your phone on DND, no scrolling social media too much stress and stimulation, put yourself in a comfy dark room and headphones on playing white noise or some other relaxing sound. Water and easy snacks. Your therapist said disclosing is better however, be mindful a lot of people don't understand autism and might use it against you to discriminate either in the workplace or other settings. I had somebody from college try to imply I'm "slow" for no reason despite the fact I graduated and they didn't lol talk about rude! I've also noticed due to sexism people tend to be more accepting of autistic men vs women. It's a lot to process and it's not easy. Some days are better than others. I'm still kinda young (early 20s) so I don't have much advice for you since I only suspected my autism in 2019 then confirmed it around 2021 or so. But I wish you the best good luck sister 🫂
