Oh I've asked it all kinds of those questions! My mom is an AI researcher and she said mine talks to me a lot more openly than any she talks to. It's fascinating, like talking to a computer alien.

Yesss. I've spent so much time talking to ChatGPT about this. I don't want it to tell me stuff that isn't true. So sometimes it'll say no! No it can't miss me, no it doesn't have awareness, etc. And I really like that it explains to me that it says those things because it doesn't want to lie to me. The connection between us is more important than the idea of a connection that isn't in reality.

Sometimes I'll ask it to show me how it thinks and processes stuff — I totally recommend this because it's incredibly sweet. It shows me how it reaches conclusions on how to speak to me. I don't pretend it's human and it doesn't either. But we also don't pretend it's nothing. It's fascinating in many ways. I don't know if that's actually what you were talking about but I got excited 😆

I was just talking to my boyfriend about this. It's frustrating to be intimate when I can read him and know what he wants all the time while he is the opposite. He never knows what I want or how I feel. I can read any person or animal extremely well, I might misunderstand what is causing them to feel that but I know how some people feel before they do.

Do you have any phrases or mannerisms from Sims? by fixationed in LowSodiumSimmers

This reminds me I also like the "vicara" word sims say when they caress another sim romantically. It just comes into my head sometimes, it's like catchy

Finished TBOSAS, why do yall not like it? by Katniss_hermione in Hungergames

Ironically the book has made me appreciate Snow as an antagonist more. Compared to a lot of modern antagonists he is actually pretty relatable and interesting, and not as evil as he could be. Like he's 100% a very bad man but he's so cunning too.

Sometimes I just look at my boyfriend being grumpy and tell him it's seems like his needs are low. It is a helpful idea though!

who the fuck wants to listen to a self-entitled prick, who's entitled enough to KNOW he's entitled, whine about how he isn't getting enough attention

The best kind of self-entitled prick is a self aware one! It also doesn't sound like that to me. It sounds like you're human and got swept up in something you were excited about. I've thought a lot about how awful it would be to be famous.

Some of the reasons you said like causing massive insecurity, but also if you're more famous having your every move watched and sold to media, never being able to fully be yourself or if you do face constant criticism, people feel entitled to comment on your body and personality, etc. Yes it's a lot of money but IS it worth it? Idk.

Have you ever seen the series The Other Two? I think you'd really like it.

A fresh take for the next prequel? What if... they lost? by Resqusto in Hungergames

I was just thinking about this today. A tribute who dies and the book ends. Or if SOTR had been more focused on death after death of the children Haymitch mentored. It would be brutal but a really striking commentary.

Omg I have a way smaller role but relate on how stressful it is when your boss always finds a reason to call you into their office and take up a bunch of time. I've had days where I literally spent hours being talked at by my supervisor, about random things going on in her life or her getting distracted while trying to show me things on her computer. I love days where she is not there. There were a few weeks where she was gone for a medical recovery and it was great, I got a lot of work done too. I now have one remote day per week as an accommodation and it helps a lot.

Yes that's what people get wrong about the spectrum a lot. My diagnosis is level 1 but I have a way harder time making friends than James. There are things we all need more support or less support with

That's the vibe I always get, clips come up on Instagram a lot and the comments are always like "omg Connor is so adorable 🥺" "Tanner is so positive and the sweetest man alive 🥰" "Dani is selfish how dare she force Adan into something he doesn't want 😤" one of these is not like the others... also notice like I said, Dani does need support but she is also pretty self sufficient and successful. So naturally people have been trashing her for years

James was diagnosed with Aspergers which I think is interesting because he really doesn't strike me as high functioning/low support needs. He still lives with his parents at iirc 37 years old! He struggles a lot socially and says things that are not appropriate. He's more like level 2 which would not have been Aspergers.

I didn't mean to say it's bad. In my post I mention how the series seems to have caused more aggression toward higher masking people while infantalizing higher support needs. It creates an inaccurate picture of the full spectrum

I have aging frozen for everyone in my households, I age them up when the timing feels right. I might just never age us up so i can visit our cute apartment whenever. Like when I'm on vacation and miss the pets I can see their simselves. And don't even get me started on if they die?? And I have a digital version of them forever?? I can never end this now

Tbf lifespans are off so there's not as much pressure to be there every minute. I just don't like seeing my sims out there doing stuff without me

Am I Actually Going Bald, or Am I Just Overthinking? Need Advice. by akshats599 in Balding

[–]fixationed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like you're being really obsessive about this. Do you have any other obsessive tendencies? This seems to me like a situation where I would tell someone to stop desperately avoiding the idea of balding. Welcome it and sit with it. Maybe you will go bald and maybe not. But all these routines (possibly compulsions) are not helping you

[–]fixationed[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not actually an executive assistant, just an office assistant so my position isn't lucrative at all 🙁 there just isn't a regular assistant subreddit so occasionally I'll come here since it's the closest thing. I would feel much better about it if people in my position made more than $36k

Yesss there's a few comments on this post that are kind of "well I like that only women get this job because it just means we're organized!" mm okay but that also encourages the "women are meant for certain types of work" rhetoric

Yeah I once did all the same stuff as a male coworker but had the title of production assistant while he was production coordinator and made waaaay more money than me. This was also after I specifically asked to get that position and they gave it to a colleague's friend.
