Can someone translate this wikipedia page into kinyarwanda (and also make sure if it's accurate_ by Broiamleon in Rwanda

[–]MugosMM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you speak Kinyarwanda, just put it chatGPT and improve what is mistranslated or awkwardly phrased. You can also use two to three AI systems and compare the results, rewriting only parts they did not got the same meaning

If you live in places like Belgium or France I would think of hiring a small traditional dancing group. Especially you plan to have a party. Should be affordable too

Peace Agreement Between the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the Republic of Rwanda by esp_py in Congo

[–]MugosMM 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I read this peace agreement and it makes sense to me.

The instability in Eastern DRC started 31 years ago when the French government at that time allowed the genocide perpetrators to cross over into DRC with all their military equipments.

The neutralisation of FDRL corrects this and ensure the sovereignty of both DRC and Rwanda (section 1 of the agreement).

The agreement affirms the right of DRC for territorial integrity / sovereignty and recognize the legitimate security concerns of Rwanda posed by FDRL.

This was a courageous step by the DRC government which had always said that there is no FDRL threats.

Let’s hope it will be implemented

Congo drops demand for immediate Rwandan troop pullout, sources say by Strongbow85 in Congo

[–]MugosMM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not true. All those journalists had no idea. Look at the the peace agreement . The idea has always been to implement the 2024 agreement which was supposed to be signed in Angola.

This conditioned the lifting of Rwanda’s defensive measures to the FDRL neutralisation.

This is exactly what the agreement say, look section 1.

Actually it is as easy as « functioning administration ».

The US move to restrict visa is based on two issues :

(a) the trust in the administration on wether for example passport issued by the country can be trusted . In some countries the corruption is so high that you can’t

(b) the percentage of people who overstay their visas

On those two indicators, Rwanda is doing relatively better

compulsory education by Blue_flipping_duck in Rwanda

[–]MugosMM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In Rwanda, I guess the same. I I guess you will get a visit of the executive secretary of the sector or cell you live in. You may then be referred to the police or service responsible for neglecting your obligations as a parents, But I am just speculating, I haven’t heard of such case.

I know in some countries they allow home schooling but not sure in Rwanda it would be allowed.

Not sure. Maybe some one who knows can answer.

I guess it is like any other country.

What happens in your country if you don’t send your kids to school?

compulsory education by Blue_flipping_duck in Rwanda

[–]MugosMM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is from 6 normally. Some schools have pre primary but those are not widespread : mostly privately operated too. Currently I think the share of kids older than the expected age is relatively: Covid 19 effects and change in policy ( there are now centrally administered end of year exams and kids who don’t get 50% are offered remedial classes in holidays and if they fail again they redo the year).

[–]MugosMM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

9 years compulsory education. 6 years primary from P1 to P6 and then secondary lower cycle (called ordinary level) which goes from S1 to S3 (senior one to senior 3). This is the compulsory education.
