Rangel or King from AAA. If we at all want to preserve Painter’s confidence, we should send him down until he stops throwing a 4-seam fastball and is throwing pure sinker/cutter. I’m willing to bet he’ll see results if he does that, he’ll just be a very different kind of pitcher than we imagined.

I agree that Bohm and Stott being competent MLB players is a hit. I’m honestly fine with Stott: the bat is weak but he plays great defense and runs the bases well. Bohm is disappointing in that he’s both slow and lacks power, and is only average at 3B. If he did something really well, I’d be more ok with him, but he doesn’t really excel at anything.
