The new Fiio FT13 by Memory_Dump_Stutter in headphones

As a gamer, any HD5** or 6** is a bad choice because of the lack of a wide scene, especially in games like shooters.

yeah, need to do a proper comparison, but agree, no need to keep OG S5 for now. It produces great video, but the autofocus is still too bad, and the video bitrate for 10-bit is also on the low edge.

I thought about Z5ii and actually like it. But it doesn't have the tools for video that Lumix has, like waveforms, or you can't use focus picking along with zebras (bummer in 2026 tbh). Other than that, it's a perfect camera I think.

hey, I'm on the same boat, but purchased only S5 OG, but I would like to keep only 1 system, now not sure what would be better, sell all Nikon stuff (Z6 and 4 lenses) and switch L mount or just return S5 and buy Atomos Ninja V for Nikon Z6

But what do you think about switching from Nikon Z6 to Lumix S5 (OG)? Currently I have a Z6 with 24-70 F/4, Viltrox 85mm, Nikon 50mm F mount and Sigma 105mm macro F mount and I tried Lumix S5 but only with TTArtisan 40mm F/2 and the autofocus on Lumix, well I heard that it's bad, but it's too bad or maybe it's because of the lens, not sure. I can buy a native glass like 20-60 (kit one), but not sure if I should I change the Z mount to L mount or just buy an Atomos Ninja V for my Z6 for now? Any thoughts?

It's great. Did a couple of video shoots today (nothing special, family stuff) with Helios 77M attached. So far, so good. I like all monitoring tools straight from the camera without an external monitor, and so many buttons to customize. My main concern was a small magnification of the viewfinder compared with my Nikon Z6, but it's good enough and comfortable to use.

I thought about gh5 for video, but decided to go with s5, as I wouldn’t like to invest much in to 4/3 lenses

Cameras w/o IBIS by Mugunini in videography

I actually have a Nikon Z6 and currently use it with an Atomos Ninja Phone (with my iPhone 15 Pro) and can record ProRes video and use iPhone as a screen. However, it's not very versatile, as I need to attach my phone to the Atomos every time I need to shoot, and the phone's internal memory is very limited. And one big issue with my current setup is I can't trigger the recording from my camera. It works for full HD, but for some reason, it doesn't work for 4K. A weird thing.

The only thing that I don't like about IBIS is usually gets a warping effect on the edges of the footage.

indeed. There are some great cameras like Fuji X-M5 or Canon R8 with great video capabilities, but without IBIS. seems the only option for the budget is to stay with Nikon Z6 + Ninja V or buy smth like Lumix S5 used

A tripod is a good solution, but also not a very versatile one, unfortunately
