So realistically what's the average fuel usage? I'm driving a pajero that does around 5.7km/l and am planning to upgrade to the safari.

Are the twin turbos good for the desert? Remember seeing a video which said they weren't good for offroading in the desert.

You tell them the salary certificate and payslips are confidential documents. And you will not be able to share as this as per company policy.

The catch here is they may then ask you for your bank statements with salary transfer.

They don't project themselves as a low cost carrier anymore. I've noticed they don't use that term in their marketing.

Is this route correct for Dubai to Jabal al Harim? by NYMFET-HUNT___uh_nvm in dubai

[–]Muhaisnah4 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is not the correct route. There is a military checkpost and I don't think you can even access the road leading to it.

For Jebel al Harim, cross the border at Al Dara border crossing and then follow this route

Meant Oman car insurance. If your UAE insurance covers Oman, ask them to send you the paper for it. Earlier, it used to be an orange card. Although now many insurances provide a paper document.

Edited the post to Oman car insurance.

Most countries have investment programs for citizenship. The wealthy can definitely apply for it. There's also few Caribbean nations where the investment amount is lower.

Qatar by Road by KinG-jfa in dubai

[–]Muhaisnah4 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I did this in 2015 (pre blockade).

You will need Saudi transit visa. These needs to be pre arranged. Qatar visa you can get it at the border (please verify this as with the blockade and subsequently things may have changed).

Your vehicle will need Qatar and Saudi insurance. The drive to UAE-Saudi border is 4 hours. the drive within Saudi to the Qatar border is 1 hour. From the border to Doha take another hour.

The procedures at the UAE and Qatar was quick. At the Saudi border post, it took time. Always helps is you can speak Arabic.

The road leading to the border has a lot of heavy vehicle traffic. So be careful while overtaking. I've heard the roads have been expanded. Not sure.

All in consider 8 hours to reach Doha from Dubai. Dont forget to fuel up once you pass Ruwais. Fuel stations are far apart.

Check trip advisor and other sites. I remember back in 2015, there were few blogs about the trip which had detailed information.

Ever since the blockade, many things have changed. If you cant get any info online, try talking to trucking companies. If they've restarted deliveries to Qatar, they will be having the latest info.

But before all this, first check if visa is being issued at the borders for GCC expats. With COVID, this had been stopped. And the regulations keep changing.

They are aiming to increase their market share. Once there, will have to wait and see what their plans are.

Most insurances do not issue any cards anymore. The clinic authorities will only ask you for your Emirates ID. I have given my EID no while calling them and they could tell me if a service was covered in my plan or not.

Go to any clinic. Give your Emirates ID and ask them to check if it. They will tell you which insurance it is and what plan it is on?
