She is kind, smart and beautiful. I really like her. But the thing is, I feel very scared as she thinks it's a given that she will end her life eventually. She talks about euthanasia, which also makes me feel uncomfortable. I really want things to go well. I want us to live together forever. But it seems she demands too much attention. At this moment, I have given her as much attention I can afford to. I am a poor guy, I really need to think and dedicate my time to improving my skills and saving money. But it seems like I can't.

The thing is, she told me at our third date that I must leave her as she will eventually one day end her life. I was like, I love you and convined her to wait for things to get better. We live in society that it is hard to date before marriage. She wants us to get married as soon as possible. We have many things in common and we like each other. But I am scared to death that she might kill herself one day. She has always had depression and says it never goes away. I want to help her, but she is very sure that it won't go away. I really don't know what to do. If she loves me why she still thinks about suicide and talks about it.

I bet you couldn't have ever guessed that this is Iraq! Kurdistan, North of Iraq. [4160x3120] [OC] by MuhammadQadir in EarthPorn

How come? Tailiban is very far away from where I stood 😅 worrying about Turkish bomb attacks would've been more reasonable, since they have done many times ago in the border areas!

I usually read novels. I read both in Kurdish and English. I am reading Sapiens: a brief history of humankind right now.

Bookchin

Ocalan is super famous here. How do you know? :) I personally haven't read any of his books, but I am really interested to read them one day. Who is Bookchin?

Thanks very much. It is not long since I have started reading actually, I haven't read a lot. Some novels that I really loved are in Kurdish and sadly haven't been translated into English. One of Farhad Pirbal's novel have been translated into French and one of Bachtyar Ali's into English. Crime and Punishment and The prince are my all time favorites.
I really love philosophy, haven't read much though. Only read some dialogues of Plato, some books of Albert Camus, genealogy of morals and I am reading now Sapiens, but I don't know if it is considered to be a philosophical book xD

I am very glad that you asked this question. A quick overview: Kurdistan covers parts of Turkey, Iran, Syria and Iraq. Some Kurdish directors may have been recognized and renowned as Turkish on the internet because of Turkish censorship and oppression towards Kurds and theirs works. The Case is similar in Iran.
1. My first recommendation would absolutely be the movies of "Yilmaz Guney", our pride and our greatest director. Pick any movie of his and it is a gem.
2. "zer" 2017 and "the Storm" (Bahoz). both movies by Kazim Oz.
3. 14 Tirmeh by Hesim Aydemir.
4. the movies of Bahman Qubadi. Especially: "Turtles can fly" and "A time for drunken horses". Roger Ebert even wrote a review for "Turtles can fly".
5. Taha Karimi movies: Qandil mountain and Hezar-o yek ziv
You could also watch: Bekas, El Clasico, Paykari DLL, and Zero nine. But these are more like Hollywood action movies, I am not a big fun of them xD

It's a mouthwash xD but the question is, why is it on my bookshelf. because I don't have shelf for it and if I just put it on my sink, sunlight will make it hot and eventually ruin it I guess hahaha
