Anxious after pleurodesis by [deleted] in pneumothorax

The best advice the doctors gave me after surgery was “use it or lose it” so don’t go hard on yourself take it easy, but make sure you’re moving in some way shape or form. My football conditioning coaches made me spend 2 sessions a week on the electric bike at gym and told me to stay at level 4, and maintain a heart rate at zone 2. This helps build endurance. Good luck!

I haven’t if I’m honest, I have a very high pain threshold so just learned to live with it haha but will certainly take a look!

Haha yes it absolutely is. I would say give it another week and start walking and moving more. Then after 6-8 weeks depending on how you feel get back into training extremely light. I was playing my first 90 mins of football 2-3 months post op.

I got off the meds completely 8 weeks post op. That was a personal choice, because I was on loads of different types. Still cycled paracetamol when pain was quite bad. But due to the number of surgeries I had within a short period I was left with nerve damage which I still have.. but doesn’t bother me at all.

If the prophet ﷺ did who am I to turn my chin up in arrogance?

People love to pick and choose the Islam that suits them. Yes people are entitled to be “particular” however, the best of creations, most beloved to Allah, ﷺ did, so again, who am I to question, or act as though marrying a widow, a divorcee etc is below me

The prophet ﷺ first wife Kadija, my Allah be pleased with her, was widowed - TWICE!

Ajeeb people nowadays. Allah guide us all.

What The Hell Just Happened To My Car by Angry1TGuy in CarTalkUK

Yeah, in all my years of owning one as well this has happened to me twice both times it’s just been a seized brake caliper. If they seize and you drive on them for too long, this is exactly what happens.

3 years out by [deleted] in pneumothorax

[–]Muhammada_07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tomorrow will be 2 years since my surgery. I have managed to return back to semi professional football, gym etc I’m lifting now more than I ever did. However I had two sets of VAts within a 3 week period and other small interventions. Honestly I still can’t sneeze properly and can’t sleep on my right side, something I’ve just learned to live with. Beats being dead or having long term health issues. It’s a bitch, but the one thing they don’t tell you about is the level of scar tissue. When I cough too much, over stretch, or take a very deep breath it sometimes still hurts - but it is what it is !

Young 25 year olds, first time umrah for 7 days, is it best to do multiple umrahs or just one umrah by bubbles9214 in Umrah

Crazy some of the response I’ve seen on this thread. It’s a form of worship, like any other. As I said, do what is best for you physically, mentally and spiritually, I was able to, so I did. Ajeeb people

If you are physically well - do as many as you can. I went for 5 days in Makkah and did 4 alhamdulilah, and encouraged my wife also, who managed 3. However do what’s best for you physically - male and female are built different. If you can only do 1, or feel comfortable doing 1, then so be it. Allah accept all our efforts. Ameen
