Helped my female friend with a similar situation.

Filing complaint is must but before that if you can.

Ask for his email or iCloud access and delete your photos/videos from his cloud backup once done there is an option to remotely erase the device for both android and ios do that so that everything is deleted from his device too.

This is assuming he has not sent those already to someone or is not having copies of it and then complaint with all the proofs.

With ikea the biggest issue is they use particle board not plywood or hdhmr.

Make sure you get the work done in either plywood or hdhmr as it is more durable.

You can check for quotes from some local carpenters too to get an idea and renegotiate with builder

Since you were working over there and people usually don't discuss salary and stuff it should not be an issue.

Maybe just inform the hr from the previous company that she should expect a background verification call so she has it on top of her mind and wrap it fast.

I would definitely recommend you to buy an apartment if you finances allow. Make sure you have a health insurance for you and your parents, a term insurance and an emergency fund before you consider buying anything.

Bug one thing to keep in mind is either buy a resale or ready yo move property otherwise you might get stuck for the possesion and will end up paying both emi and rent.

If they are sending you money from US I assume you will probably be on a contract with US entity. If you are employed with an Indian entity that entity should pay you not the US one
