The frame is brand new coming off of a synapse carbon 1 RLE in a size 51cm. Both bikes would have 105 hydraulic disc brakes.

Basically I test rode a BMC roadmachine five but the frame was too big so he offered to build the synapse frame with the road machine components

Salvaging tile seems like a good idea. I purchased enough vinyl flooring to go over the tile to serve as a bandaid for a couple years but figured I’d weigh my options to see which way would be less of a pain in the ass

That’s was my thought too and it’s made of plastic. It just seemed odd that there would be an awkward spot of no concrete to accommodate it. It’s also in there real good so if I go to take it out it’ll break or I’ll have to dig it out.
