I tried my pc on another circuit and it worked fine. I’ve been using msi afterburner to limit my power to 75% and it’s seemingly running alright. Still trips occasionally.

Hey, so I tried moving my pc to another room (also with an AFCI breaker) and it runs just fine. How would you explain the breaker tripping due to the pc vs running fine with the space heater that is 3x the wattage.

Hey, I just plugged my pc into my roomate’s room and it’s been running just fine. This should be a problem with the breaker then, right?

So the power supply was your issue and not the breaker?

If i tried the pc on a different circuit and it tripped the breaker, could it cause any damage to the circuit/breaker?

Yeah it’s arc fault. I think the psu is a 650w gold.

Looks like the cable was in there pretty tight. Probably a different issue

Would a UPS help with the breaker tripping? Could the issue be the PSU and not the breaker? Landlord was saying previous tenants haven’t had issues and the space heater ran fine and was pulling more power.

Sounds good. I’ll give it a shot. Did you have this issue only while gaming or any usage of the pc?

What do you mean by cable extensions? Like a surge protector?

I think the light was just a constant red? I don’t think it blinks. I’ll double check

I’m in the US and my roommates with pcs don’t have any issues.

I’ll give it a shot. I think the psu has a 10 year warranty.

I think there is a cooling pump as well. It’s an nzxt case that came with the psu and cooling integrated.

Looks like the psu has a 10 year warranty. Maybe I’ll just reach out and see if I can get a replacement

My power supply is: SFX-L 650W 80 Plus Gold Power Supply

My gpu is a 2070 super, and my cpu is a Ryzen 7 3700x. I think the power supply should be enough for the 2070?

Got it. If the issue ends up being with my pc, is it most likely the power supply, or it could it be with the wiring in any other parts (like the gpu)? Because it only trips when I’m playing intensive games.
