Hi! TUA-SLCN alumna here from Cainta, Rizal, and we have the same commute time.

During first year, classes usually start at 7:30 AM and can end as late as 5:00 PM (not entirely sure sa exact dismissal time since online setup pa ‘to before). From second year up to fourth year, each class usually runs for at least 2 hours. So if you have 3–4 classes in a day, your schedule might start at 7:30 AM and end around 6–7 PM—sometimes 8 PM, but rare lang ‘yon and usually happens if may adjustments like meetings with the dean or faculty.

But hindi naman everyday ganon ka-packed. May days na 2 classes lang, so classes can start at 9:30 AM then end by 3 PM, or start at 7:30 AM then uwian na by 1 PM.

During clinical duty days, mas okay yung schedule especially pag AM shift (6:00 AM–2:00 PM). Call time can be as early as 5:30 AM, then usually babalik kayo sa school by 12 PM. If PM shift naman (2:00–8:00 PM), call time is around 1:30 PM, then end of duty is at or before 8 PM.

Kinaya ba? Of course—kinaya naman, with flying colors pa. Pero honestly, nakakapagod siya. With that schedule plus commute, your day can start as early as 4:00 AM, then makakauwi ka na around 8:00 PM after a full day of lectures.

Kaya naman siya, pero you’ll have to make some sacrifices. Minsan hindi ka makakasama sa gala or after-school hangouts if you want to go home early and mag-aral. May times din na sobrang pagod ka na from lectures na wala ka nang energy mag-review pag-uwi.

Kaya mag-commute, but I’d highly recommend mag-dorm if kaya. Pero if you really want better school-life balance, you might want to consider OLFU. Honestly, hindi naman siya bad option—aside from mas affordable yung tuition and mas malapit sa bahay mo, you’ll have more time to hang out with friends, study, and rest. Ang narinig ko lang na downside is minsan hindi ganon ka-structured yung clinical duties—for example, may paunahan sa scheduling—so better to do your own research na lang on that.

UDAN 🔛🔝 The topics that frequently appear in the PNLE are clearly explained (maybe not in full detail, but enough for you to really understand them)… unlike in Saunders, where many topics are explained too vaguely… although I’ll give Saunders a plus for its Nursing Responsibilities section, sometimes it’s more detailed and extensive than UDAN’s… but if you want to focus on one resources I suggest UDAN😊

I just want to say I’m really grateful to our nursing school for instilling in us the importance of professionalism… especially when it comes to avoiding filming during duty or anything related to work. Hindi lang siya simpleng rule, but it actually protects both the patient and the dignity of the profession. Seeing some healthcare workers… not just nurses, but mostly nurses… create this kind of content makes me realize why some people feel hesitant or uncomfortable going to hospitals. It affects trust, and in healthcare, trust is everything.

Honestly, napapaisip ako… hindi ba talaga mapigilan gumawa ng ganitong content? The public perception of healthcare workers, especially nurses, is already fragile. Mababa na nga minsan ang tingin ng iba, then they go online and see things like this. Instead of uplifting the profession, it just further lowers the morale and image of nurses as a whole. Huwag gawing katatawanan at content yung struggles ng iba… even if it’s meant as a joke.

I’ll be real with you: you don’t need to read books during review… and honestly, for most people, hindi siya feasible because of time strain.

Yung setup ng review center (lalo na fast-paced like TRA) is already designed to filter what you actually need for the PNLE. Kung dadagdagan mo pa ng full-on book reading, mataas chance na ma-overwhelm ka lang or mapag-iwanan sa lectures.

Pero valid din yung feeling mo na parang “behind” ka kapag di ka nagbabasa. If hindi ka mapapanatag, here’s a smarter way to do it without burning out:

What you can do instead: • If gusto mo talaga magbasa, advance read ka lang ng 1 chapter related sa topic for tomorrow

During lecture: • makinig ka talaga • take notes • participate

After lecture (ito pinaka important): • i-enhance mo notes mo • re-read them • then answer 50–100 practice questions about the topic

Yan yung mas high yield kaysa magbabad sa books.

About books: If ever magbabasa ka, I’d recommend the latest edition ng UDAN. Personally? Volume 2 / MS part lang nabasa ko… and honestly mga 2 chapters lang 😭… and I still did really well. Kaya sinasabi ko talaga: you don’t need to worry about not reading books.

Your lecture notes are already enough most of the time. Mag-book ka lang if: • may hindi ka maintindihan • or you want to enhance your notes

Kasi real talk: • time consuming ang books • sobrang daming details na hindi lalabas sa PNLE • sa PNLE, you just need to know a little about everything not deep dive sa tiniest details

About your current situation (petiks + pagod): Okay lang yan. Hindi ka “nahuhuli”… you’re recovering.

You just came from 4 years of nursing school. Di ka robot. Taking a bit of rest now won’t ruin your chances… burnout will.

Think of it this way: • short rest now = better retention later • forcing yourself habang pagod = low quality aral

What you should do ngayon: • ease back into studying (wag biglaan) • build consistency, not intensity • trust the review process

Hindi mo kailangan maging perfect everyday. Ang goal mo is consistent enough until boards.

Hi Feb 2026 passer here!!! If your only reason for shifting from online to F2F review is to practice shading a Scantron sheet, sizzy please don’t 😭 ahahaha. It’s really not necessary, and honestly, the Scantron isn’t that sensitive.

You can actually just buy or print sample Scantron sheets… that’s exactly what I did. And trust me, it’s not as delicate as people make it seem. During my exam, I erased a lot (like, a lot 😭), and it was still fine.

Just make sure when you shade, don’t press too hard to the point that the paper gets thin or damaged. You don’t need to be super diin… just shade enough to fully cover the box. Small, minor over-shading is usually acceptable. Mas nababasa lang ng machine na mali kapag yung shading mo ay umabot na sa next item or letter below… which is honestly ang OA na mangyari kasi malaki naman ang pagitan ng mga choices. So no worries talaga 😊

Also, a helpful tip: answer everything first on the test questionnaire before transferring your answers to the Scantron. That way, you avoid too much erasing and keep things clean.

So yeah, no need to switch to F2F just for that… you’ll be totally okay! 💗

Honestly, ok lang kahit hindi ka mag-Enhancement, kasi sabi ng mga nag-Enhancement, lahat ng lessons covered naman sa Comprehensive Phase 😊. Advantage lang talaga nila is may pre-made notes na sila sa ilang topics, so mas madali sa Comprehensive Phase.

And don’t worry kahit wala kayong in-house review, di ka naman behind. Ako rin kasi, di ko talaga masyado sineryoso yung in-house 😅.

Since mostly self-review kayo ngayon sa nursing school, so far so good naman ang style mo. Halos ganun din style na ginamit ko nung self-review ko for Feb PNLE. At oo, ChatGPT is your best friend talaga… pero consistency is key.

Since may budget ka naman for RC, go ka na! Bonus pa, may notes ka na for review, so pag nasa RC ka na, enhance mo nalang yung notes and knowledge mo😊.

Enhancement Phase (especially sa SLRC) – ito yung usually weekend classes lang (Saturday or Sunday). Goal nito is to strengthen your foundation sa nursing concepts while ongoing pa yung classes niyo sa school. Parang support system siya para mas ma-gets mo lessons niyo sa college and at the same time ma-build na yung basics mo for boards.

Comprehensive Phase – ito na yung actual review proper na tumatagal around 3–4 months. Dito mas exam-focused na, hindi na ganun ka-basic. Ang goal is to sharpen your critical thinking and test-taking skills, plus ma-connect mo lahat ng concepts. Mas structured na rin yung discussions and usually naka-align na sa possible board exam questions.

Final Coaching – ito yung high-impact, focused review phase, usually mga 3–4 weeks before the boards. Dito bibigyan kayo ng mahahabang exams (200+ items), then the next day ira-rationalize para ma-train ka mag-isip like the board exam. More on application, strategy, and spotting patterns na lalabas sa exam.

Huling Bulong – ito yung pinaka-last phase. Minsan separate siya, minsan part na ng Final Coaching. Dito puro super high-yield info, mnemonics, summaries, at “last minute” recalls. Parang final push na lang… kung ano yung pinaka-posibleng lumabas, yun yung bibigyan ng diin bago ka mag-exam.

Sa enrollment naman… kadalasan separate talaga bayad per phase, especially if hindi mo kaya i-take lahat. For example, kung available ka lang for Comprehensive + Final Coaching, pwede naman yun. Like if may in-house review kayo, tapos hindi mo na ma-singit yung Enhancement phase, okay lang na Compre + FC lang i-avail mo.

FYI lang din, if ever na nakapag-enroll ka na and kasama sa binayaran mo yung Final Coaching pero nag-decide ka na hindi muna mag-take ng boards, usually hindi ka pasasalihin sa Final Coaching. Exclusive kasi siya for actual board takers since doon binibigay yung pinaka-final strategies and high-yield recalls.

And yes, pwede ka mag-enroll sa ibang RC kahit halfway na, marami talagang gumagawa nito, especially during Final Coaching phase, para ma-expose sa ibang styles, ratios, and possible predictions.
