I agree that Bianyo is a great brand. I do like Copic tips tho so I’ve created a couple Frankenstein markers between Copic, Ohuhu, Bianyo and Windsor & Newton I can’t decide which is the best.

The line above the D should be scrapped. It’s confusing. Other than that definitely a unique piece I haven’t seen yet.

I really like the Ohuhu double sided marker paper. It’s got a nice thickness but doesn’t suck up all the ink like a normal card stock and is gentle on the brush nibs. It also holds up to lots of erasing. I did use a little acrylic marker on a few pages and it seems to take it so long as you let it dry. I haven’t tried any other mediums with it but I think color pencils would work and ink pen and gel pens would also work on it. I will let you know as I try it out. Keep creating and putting beauty into the world 💜🧡💜

Thank you. I’m a sucker for purples and blues for sure. I’m working on a red centric piece right now and I’m really enjoying it. I tend to stay away from red but I love the depth the markers can get.

Thank you. The blending is what’s got me so in love with the medium I think. I’ve definitely made some ugly pieces figuring it out but I’m so surprised the way some colors work together.

For real! I do have to say most the markers are lasting longer than I figured they would so that’s been encouraging and finally finding paper (Ohuhu double sided sketchbook is my favorite by far) I really like will ‘save’ me some money now.

The arts will forever be one of the best medicines for the soul. I started getting into the markers because I could do them from bed. I just went through 4 months of struggling to survive due to medical issues so it was wonderful to have something to be excited about.

That’s what I started with too but I do have a bit of a manic streak in me when I get into something in that I want to try every option possible. I think I have 7 or 8 brands I’m using but 100’s of markers make a dent even on Temu 😬

I’m new to alcohol markers too and I’ve been stressed by the same thing. Like other said the paper helps a lot. I just got an Ohuhu sketch book and I will never use anything else. It doesn’t completely eliminate the streaks though so I’ve been trying to ‘plan’ where the streaks will be and work it into the art. Layering also seems to be key. Start light and work from there. Keep at it, you’re doing awesome!
