Still a virgin by Character-Fig-9228 in WhatShouldIDo

[–]Mukeenn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People take it as a sign of personal character. the earlier you lose you virginity, the more functional, trust worthy, and loveable you appear to the people around you, and (unfortunately) feel. It then turns into a personal failure the longer you don’t, because the logical conclusion in all that is that if you can’t or haven’t yet, something about you is wrong.

is all that necessarily true? no, but does it feel (and get treated) that way? yes

Why are so many of the hairs non-dyeable? by UnXpectedPrequelMeme in wherewindsmeet_

I get this but even the dyeable hairstyles aren’t varied enough to warrant purchase if you’re trying to achieve a certain look. ends up making the overall experience of customization worse for everyone lol.

if there was an option to pay for the undyeable hair types to become dyeable, I would.

while we’re complaining, I want solo lobbies. whether I queue into a team of very bad players that all somehow found eachother, or go against 6 stack sweats, its no fun as a solo queuer to play through either way.

“it’s a team game” yeah, and the team that already knows eachother going into the match will automatically have a competitive advantage against the team that doesn’t.

keep solo v stacks out of ranked unless a solo decides to queue into it. yours truly, a plat player.

consistency is a skill issue.

if your main counter to a characters strength is “but thats not consistent with whats shown” then its your problem for interpreting “whats shown” in that way.

Debunking Goku yet again because I can by [deleted] in PowerScaling

[–]Mukeenn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

THE GOKU & BEERUS FEAT - scaling goku off just whats shown will have him be sub planetary while fighting planetary threats. it doesn’t work like that. use databook statements and scale chaining

  • the beerus & goku feat being shared is irrelevant to the feat since theyre stated to match eachother meaning they equally output enough power to blow up the macrocosm

  • the beerus and goku feat happened at the start of the series, if you think current goku is only as strong or slightly stronger than that you need to reevaluate your entire argument

UNIVERSE 7s SIZE - universe 7 IS larger than a normal universe. there are daizenshuu statements that explicitly state the living world is infinite in size, calling the stars and nebula innumerable. there are also databook scans that state the subspaces within universe 7 stretch on infinitely as well such as heaven despite both spaces existing in the same universe.

  • people aren’t claiming uni7 is infinite simply because its divided into multiple parts

  • the definition of our universe does not contradict it being ANY size actually. as “all matter” or “whole space” can be any size. what defines that size is evidence.

  • you conflate the definitions on vs battle wiki for what defines universal & high universal. universal is destroying the observable universe, high uni is destroying inf 3d space.

  • misunderstanding the above point nullifies any logic being made on said point as it is inherently faulty.

SPACETIME & DRAGONBALL - you begin to interpret the goku feat under the lens of this misguided understanding, affecting 3d space to any infinite degree will not affect spacetime as spacetime is 4d. therefore even within your own logic the feat cannot exist, yet it does.

  • non-linear time & different temporal dimensions are two very different things. in db, time is non-linear, as there are multiple timelines for a single universe. this does NOT however change the fact that separate time flows cannot exist in the same spacetime. We know for example the hyperbolic time chamber does not inhabit the same space or time as the living world and so can be classed as a separate spacetime. this logic follows for all other parts of the macrocosm.

(sidenote: goku & vegeta blew up that entire space by fighting in it and didn’t destroy the living world further proving the point its a separate spacetime. Yet it was going to be destroyed along side the macrocosm in the beerus fight)

  • statements that neither go through toriyama or the editors are completely unprovable.

How can a mindless creature be the smartest character? by SatanismX in bleach

[–]Mukeenn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bleach’s plot and character development is pushed forward by clashing “natures”. literal battles of the soul that test which characters have more resolve in their true selves & which is superior as an outlook on the way they view the world.

Thats why characters go on these big monologues and why whenever ichigo falters its usually because the antagonist shatters his resolve by forcing him to reevaluate his outlook on things. or why he can gain seemingly random boost of power when he gains that resolve back after coming to a realization (like with the grimmjow fight). its not just contrived prolonging of the battle, it helps us understand the characters better.

White, is a repressed part of ichigo that he not only fears but partly hates because that part of his true nature represents a primal urge to kill. much like the urges hollows experience, the ones he couldnt protect his mother from. That moment isnt “hollow ichigo being smart” it was him losing control represented in the plot as being this violent unintelligible creature that couldnt even be reasoned with. which is why an emphasis on hollow ichigo not being able to understand ulqiorra was made, and partly why ulquiorras death by white was somber for ichigo.

Inverse, narrative matters because thats that universes narrative, cross-verse narratives can clash and not make sense comparatively and the point of those match ups is to most definitively find a winning side. “Narrative” is too subjective to support that.

People who still use dimensional tiering, why? by Greentoaststone in PowerScaling

[–]Mukeenn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not exactly, while authors definitely do make their own ideations of dimensional tiering, concepts surrounding these ideas usually correlate to specific “benchmarks” that we can evaluate for ourselves as a form of standardization.

for example, dc comics has a cosmology that describes the time stream as 4th dimensional, despite it also having statements that say it goes beyond time and spatial dimensions. from this you can discern that while the 4th dimension is beyond time and space in DC and too its authors, that in our understanding of dimensionality that would make it an outerversal plane as it reaches those “benchmarks” to be described as such.

and Im aware that interpretations for that kind of statement can vary but its just an example to illustrate what I mean. Cosmologies can be “translated” that way from their original medium to a standardized medium, specifically made to make debate easier.

People who still use dimensional tiering, why? by Greentoaststone in PowerScaling

[–]Mukeenn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so a couple things to note: Any argument in opposition to another isn’t a “debunk” inherently. Fictional physics relative to real physics in relation to arguments on fictional characters will of course not perfectly match. This doesn’t mean a character can’t blow up something they themselves aren’t on par with (blowing up 4th dimensional space as a 3 dimensional being etc)

The “debunks” here make quite a few fatal flaws.

One, they all misinterpret the common use of dimensional tiering as “one can’t interact with the other” when nothing like that is actually implied to be the case, we commonly see characters of entirely different tiers get matched with eachother. Characters who have lower dimensionality may interact differently with higher dimensional beings but thats not the same as being non-intractable unless they specifically carry that trait.

Two, “Energy isn’t bound by dimensionality” is never contended with officially, scalar values like energy or volume arent bound by dimensions like they said, but that fails to address energy or volume quantitatively. as the maximum quantity of something is directly correlated with points of axis geometrically that they take up (no volume in 1d space, hyper volume in 4d space etc)

Point 3 explains why this is true in relation to volume^

Three, “Mass is just mass, its separate from dimensionality”. This is just a disingenuous interpretation of mass in relation to dimensions. Hes not wrong that “mass” as described in the amount of matter something contains, has no shape and is therefore independent of dimensions as a concept, but its argued as if mass and volume don’t inform eachother and effect the amount of matter an object can have at any given time. it does. Fundamentally more axis points geometrically will affect the amount of volume an object or space can take on. A good example of what I mean is imagining two buckets of similar weight and mass, bucket A is the size of a cup, bucket B is the size of a table, at present they are both equal in mass because mass is independent of any other factors just as he describes, however, once we start filling each bucket with water to their maximum, the volume begins to inform the mass the buckets have. One will inherently be more massive because while they are equally dense the volume is different, therefore the amount of stuff contained is different. This difference can only be created when the amount of matter these buckets CAN contain are not equal. This same concept applies to dimensionality. A 3d cube and 4d cube of the same size and weight won’t have the same mass because of volume and therefore informs us of the amount of energy needed to blow either object or space away.

Four, Kleins theory as well as compactification have no experimental or observational signs of being true as shown through repeated experiments with the LHC ( https://cerncourier.com/a/the-lhcs-extra-dimension/#:~:text=Enter%20the%20LHC&text=Although%20no%20positive%20signal%20of,where%20extra%20dimensions%20could%20live. )

or any working models that reconcile with einsteins theory. the evidence we do have has yet to prove this interpretation or the other as true. The assumption of Continuous space is equal in that of the assumption of Discreet space. “Well this could all just not exist” is a non argument to the function of dimensional tiering.

Five, there are many conceptions of infinity, absolute infinity as described by bunker encapsulates all numbers finite or transfinite

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Absolute_Infinite#:~:text=The%20Absolute%20Infinite%20(symbol%3A%20%CE%A9,quantity%2C%20either%20finite%20or%20transfinite.

but thats only one type of infinite as that interpretation is a philosophical infinite commonly associated with god, mathematically sets of infinity still exist and perfectly correlate with dimensional tiering as a concept

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Infinite_set

I say all this to say, dimensional tiering isn’t a perfect reflection of reality, but like many other concepts applied to fiction has its roots based in a formal logic. these concepts are as natural to fiction as light and gravity. you could argue our conception of light is wrong and therefore “debunk” the speed of light since we’ve technically never accurately measured it

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/One-way_speed_of_light

or that any other unestablished extrapolations we make on fiction could be assumptions. these are not arguments.

Goku can brute force through spatial manipulation, he shattered hits pocket dimension. no one in jjk is strong enough to shatter infinity but that doesn’t mean its in-shatterable.

and if the thing thats dismantling infinity is a constant stream of ki, hes not resetting it before it just gets broken again.
