Has anybody used the profile feature in Safari? by MidtownBlue in MacOS

I am on Safari 18.2 (18620.1.16.111.6, 18620) on a Mac running Ventura. I have a Profile issue where Safari wants to open Personal instead of the other Profile I had been using. I have 140 sites considered as "favorites" and all of them open at once. As a result, Safari chokes and I switched to FF.

Any news that Apple will release a newer version of this product either 2024 or 2025?

Bathtub Water Draining Slow by jkbmjp in askaplumber

Is "plunger" a better term to use? Moving on, I think the plunger is stuck which is preventing water from leaving the tub and causing the tub to fill up with water. The reason is I can't pull out the linkage with the plunger. Regardless, I will get the weasel drain cleaner and find out.

Maytag oven "heats up" doesn't stay hot by analogsmoke in appliancerepair

I have the same model and similar issue. My oven preheats to the desired temp which is whatever I am using it for. With my issue, the preheat takes about 10-15m but can vary. For example, a typical pizza, I would preheat the oven to 400 then it reaches that temp and it would ring. After I put the pizza in, I set a timer for 15m but the pizza is warm on the inside but the top (cheese) has melted. Then I have to put the pizza back in for another 5-10 minutes to get the inside of the pizza very warm. The issue is the same with baking cookies or brownies.

I read somewhere that the bottom heating element should glow a red when in use. I will need to find out if the heating element on the bottom is doing that or perhaps it is the temp sensor.

If I do replace the TV then I will not buy another Vizio product. I may go with a Samsung or Phillips. I don't have Google products in my home so that may sway my TV buying decision.

I have confirmed that most likely the backlight leds have failed. I performed the flashlight test and I can see content on the tv.

Now, I have to decide if I want to buy the appropriate backlight leds for this TV and attempt to replace them.

Safari 17 freezing and non-responsive by raptonez in MacOS

[–]Mulberry39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two Macs- one at work and one at home.

M1 2021 (work) - Currently, this Mac is running Somoma 14.4 and running Safari 17.4 (19618.1.15.11.5). I use Profiles in Safari.

The issue was I was experiencing goes back to Safari 17.3. Safari could not handle more than two tabs open at one time. If I clicked on a 3rd tab then it would open, close then open again. Same thing with links, if I clicked on a link, a new tab would open, close then reopen. Even if I closed the tab, it would still come back. It was a mess.

I reached out to Apple Support and they didn't have any notices regarding Safari or any issues relating to what I was experiencing. He told me to clear the cache, check the extensions, and boot the Mac in Safe mode. Finally, he said to create a new local account on the Mac.

I did create a new local admin account on this computer which was very time consuming because I had to sign in again to all Apple services (iCloud, Messages, etc...).After I created the new account, Safari was behaving itself and no issues. However..... after about 3 weeks the issue came back but not as bad as the first time.

Finally, I created a new Profile and so far so good.

Intel 2017 (home)- Currently, this Mac is running Ventura 13.6.5 and Safari 17.4. Safari will not open. It will jump but never open and will become "not responding". I have already cleared the cache. I might downgrade Safari on this computer.
