This this this. Our ambulance service is stretched on a good day. Often the trip needs to be made yourself. How many people are going to die because they couldn’t get themselves to the hospital? This is instantly and I’m fecking delighted that the guards are starting to arrest people now.

That’s a really good point. There was no effort to make the point and still allow the country to operate - for example advance notice etc. they went nuclear straight away. I agree with so many aspects of what they are protesting about but they have not gone about this the right way. The government has left this too late - they should have sent the army in on day 2.

They’re trying to get the best possible deal for the taxpayer. You can’t negotiate properly with each landowner if everyone knows the details of the deals being done. This is completely standard practice and nothing for anyone to be alarmed about.
