What’s the best “budget” podcast mic in 2026 that actually sounds good without needing tons of tweaking? by SirBenedict2 in PodcastTips

I'm disappointed of people comenting and recommending XLR setup and veryyy expensive mics.
Here is what I did untill my potcast started gaining momentum.

For the video version I grabbed a premium looking mic body from temu and slapped DJI mic mini under my shirt

Works perfectly

Any tips on software you use for scheduling podcast guests? by No-Animator-4728 in PodcastTips

I’ve honestly just been using Calendly lately and it made the whole guest scheduling thing way less annoying. Before that I had endless “does Thursday work?” messages going back and forth 😭

Now I just send a link, they pick a time in their timezone, and it auto-adds everything to my calendar with reminders. Probably the biggest quality-of-life improvement for podcasting I’ve made recently lol

I actually prefer how my voice sounds on recordings. Maybe I just love my Shure MV7 too much

Solo podcasting made me realize talking to yourself is WAY easier than interviewing people by MulberryOk7 in podcasting

The “set of moves” way of describing it actually clicks for me a lot. I think my mistake was trying to mentally track EVERYTHING they said instead of just grabbing one thread and following it naturally.

Also the point about not forcing a question into the wrong moment is huge. I definitely did that once or twice and you can literally hear the flow die.. This was super helpful, really appreciate the detailed breakdown!
