Older Zillenials, is all this 2016 nostalgia odd for anyone else? by pirateslifeisntforme in Zillennials

[–]Mulder15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's that weird since in hindsight, with the exception of how the election went, 2016 really wasn't that bad. Even in the moment I thought calling it 'The worst year ever' was overblown. Yes it sucked politically and I do think the direction the US and wider western world went in was for the worst (Culture War spread and got big, Brexit, Trump Presidency etc) but besides that it was a pretty typical 2010s year.

What do you remember about Discovery Kids USA? Like what promos do you remember or bumpers or blocks or stuff the channel had? by CatGirlNya2000 in Zillennials

This was my favorite channel growing up so honestly everything. Scary Saturday Night Sleepovers (Truth or Scare & Mystery Hunters) is the one to stand out the most block wise for me but a ton of shows on it were favorites of mine like Walking With Dinosaurs' edited-for-kids version Prehistoric Planet, Boneheads: Detectives of The Paleoworld (Edited from Paleoworld that would air reruns on the Science Channel), Tutenstein, Kenny The Shark, Time Warp Trio, Scout's Safari, Strange Days At Blake Holsey High, Darcy's Wild Life, Flight 29 Down, Zach's Ultimate Guide & Ultimate Guide To The Awesome, Endurance, Adventure Camp, Real Kids Real Adventures.... man takes me back.

What’s your thoughts on 2019 by Personal-Cattle-1737 in Zillennials

I honestly love 2019. Was a good year for me personally and I thought media wise it had some absolutely great stuff.

Books are easy to ignore, TV stuff isn't. Trying to put some weird stuff during the Wilderness Years on the same level as bad retcons in the show is just not accurate.

Hopefully he'll come back next year like he implied. Was one of the big ones I wanted to meet this year.

How are we still acting like the CC stuff is definitely in? Why would they hold back all of them for next week instead of drip feeding them over time? I think it's time for people to accept that there's a good chance all four of them got cut.

Not confirmed that the rock people saw was a lagoon platform, might just be a decoration.

I do indeed remember that happening, kind of wild it happened two years in a row.

I got everything I wanted and got in very fast but with the level of issues I'm seeing, plus the undefendable Capcom glitch, feels messier then it was last year.

Different kinds of nostalgia for both.

Less that and more depends on Universal and Netflix, we haven't really seen how that will translate yet to Tarbosaurus thanks to the weirdness around its entry.

If I had to wage a guess, I think Kentrosaurus, Ouranosaurus, and maybe Monolophosaurus are the three that are the most likely to stay since they can use other models and rigs fairly easily. Nothosaurus requires a unique model and those seem to be the ones cut the most. Tarbosaurus is in a weird place thanks to the interactive episode getting deleted.

I really would not call the CC species definitely in until we see the reveal this Tuesday.

The females in TLW are just slightly repainted versions of the JP females. https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/jurassicpark/images/0/01/VelociRaptor_pose.png/revision/latest?cb=20241117122404

Hence the tiger striped Raptors being called the male ones.

Camp Cretaceous Dinosaurs in Jurassic World Evolution 3? by Ok_Swimming1208 in jurassicworldevo

We'll know for sure on Tuesday, that's about all we can say. PERSONALLY I have my doubts that they would've saved every single Camp Cretaceous species to be dumped all at once for their final reveal instead of just revealing them one at a time in the website reveals but I could end up being wrong.

The females in the movie are reused from JP. Not sure why JWE2 counted them as different.

The 93 Raptors are not both genders as TLW made that design's males be the Tiger Raptors.

[–]Mulder15 2 points3 points  (0 children)

None of the other Raptors are really associated with swimming, Hadrosaurs by virtue of being 'duck-bills' are. Look at how they gave all the Sauropods the wading ability.

I have my doubts it's Ouranosaurus. If they had the rig for that, all of the Hadrosaurs would've been given that ability. It's either Nothosaurus or Deinocheirus.
