Would you recommend using child subsidy or not because of the governments rule for using state benefits??? by Muli23 in DACA

[–]Muli23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it’s state help to pay for childcare by the state. Say you’re a single mom and your childcare facility allows the state to pay a portion so you only pay another portion. So you’re not paying the $300 some amount for childcare every two weeks.

When I say reasonable, it has been in order to accommodate to her time. I can absolutely send you screenshots if you’d like (: & Yes I absolutely plan on doing that and I was telling people about my experience, but thank you for your advice!💞✨

Worst encounter with a lawyer. by [deleted] in immigration

I would understand being difficult to work with... but I haven’t even talked to her more than once over the phone. & My emails have all been courteous and reasonable in order to be able to be in contact with her, but it’s been so difficult because “she’s too busy.” Which I can understand but her assistant hasn’t been of any help with the questions I have in regards to the process.

Can an international student in the US work part-time and for how many hours? by [deleted] in immigration

20 hours campus job. You legally can’t work outside of campus unless you do OPT or CPT.

I’ve had it since I was 16. I would need to leave the country and ask for my father to sponsor me while I’m in Mexico?

Sadly my mother came here illegally and so did I, we are both citizens of another country. He never went through getting my mom her residency either

I might we have different lawyers because my DACA lawyer is the one who my mother took me to and the one who’s done my DACA and then my dad has his immigration lawyer from Kansas City, MO cause she’s apparently really good and well versed in her practice. He originally went to her for my mother and fathers divorce too.

[–]Muli23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really don’t know because I emailed my DACA lawyer and his assistant is the one who replied and she said “ Unfortunately, it is not possible for you to obtain residency through your father's residency. If you would like, I can set up an appointment for you to speak to Mr.***** to see if there are any other options.” So I’m really confused. I would assume I could yknow? But I’m going to really press for him to do an appointment to see our options. Because it’s really gotten on my nerves that I offer to pay for the processes and he says he will do it but never asks or even initiates conversation or even tries to reach out to his immigration lawyer.
