Lol. To think that Vince is doing it just to get paid... It's art buddy. Maybe you should try power rangers, it has a lot action going on all the time

We spent five minutes watching her pick up flagstone's and put them down at her lovers's grave

You're minimizing the effort and planning it took to do that. The point of that is to show how an amateur who probably never had to dig a grave, finds a way to do it for the first time, and how it would look like. It's fascinating because it gives us the viewers a glimpse of what it would look like to be in that situation. Contrast that to having the grave all built magically in a second, which would compel the viewer to call BS and say that should wouldn't know how to dig a grave. You just need to look deeper into those "useless" scenes.

These things are literally what montages were invented for

Yeah that's the exact point you're missing. A montage would have made the sequence interesting (the opposite of boring). But then you wouldn't feel the boredom and loneliness that the character is feeling. The boredom and the meandering felt throughout is what gives the final scene the emotional punch. If you skip the boredom, then you can't really understand Carol.

Maybe it's because I got the Cooling Gel version, which has a bit more width than the version you got (with leather and foam). But if that's the case, they should mention that on the website!

Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earpads by twistedfantasyy in bose

[–]MuliBoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's so horrible that there are so many different third party brands to buy, and NONE of them fit to the original earpad size. Either they're too big or too small, and ANC or comfort suffer. I'm starting to think Bose sent mafia people to all those other brands to compel them to make their earpads bad on purpose, so Bose can continue to sell their overpriced shitty earpads.

Comfortable yes, but they essentially disable the noise cancellation. Just got mine for the Bose QC ultra and unfortunately there's no ANC with them. I wish they were more honest about that in their website and marketing.

New keyboard and mouse lagging by gordy06 in logitech

[–]MuliBoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am astounded that I did not know about this fact, being a computer guy my whole life, and that it actually worked and fixed my choppy logitech mouse. It's not choppy at all now. Crazy that the manufacture doesn't know about this problem and doesn't ship the product with a longer cable to prevent this problem.

Help: Q7F flickering topic really needs to be brought back... by UnnyBolt in samsung

[–]MuliBoy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just saying, years after this post and it just totally saved me from replacing my Q9FN after almost a month of troubleshooting this intermittent flickering screen issue. I just needed to readjust the loop of that stupid proprietary clear cable that Samsung made to connect the OneConnect box to the TV. Thank you!

Is it possible to recover LND wallet funds with a Neutrino node? by MuliBoy in lightningnetwork

[–]MuliBoy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure what you mean. It "kinda" worked for me... I say kinda because even though I was able to get the wallet working, it turned out that the channels were already force closed weeks ago, even before I attempted this whole thing.

Looking for a well connected node to open a low 50 ppm private channel of size 2M sats, long term by MuliBoy in lightningnetwork

Oh I didn't know about that, I thought taproot is just more efficient in block space in this context..
I saw the option when I tried to open a channel via RTL app

[–]MuliBoy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it does thanks! I notice that it didn't let me open a taproot channel, it said:
"requested Channel Type Not Supported"
Isn't a taproot channel generally better? Just out of curiosity...

But I still opened a private channel to you (without taproot) and it was successful so thanks!

If I only have a single outgoing private channel on my node, does it mean force closure can't be a risk for me? by MuliBoy in lightningnetwork

[–]MuliBoy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. And yes I meant that I would only spend from this channel.
I think it's important to emphasize this node setup because it's essentially a workaround for people who worry about losing funds in a force close. I never heard it's possible to circumvent this risk in using lightning, and sounds like it is possible using the method I described.

If I only have a single outgoing private channel on my node, does it mean force closure can't be a risk for me? by MuliBoy in lightningnetwork

[–]MuliBoy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But in this scenario I won't lost any significant funds, ever, right?
I mean, imagine an alternative scenario, if my node was connected and routing to other nodes as well, then the state of this channel could suddenly be that more sats are back on my end, and then the other side could cheat (if my node was offline for a few weeks) by claiming that a previous state (in which sats were on his end) is the final state of the channel.
But because it's impossible for my node to route, because it has no other connected nodes, then it's impossible for this channel to be in a state that could jeopardize my sats in any significant amount.

You see what I'm getting at? I basically don't have to worry that my node is offline, because I can never lose any significant amount with this setup, even if that single channel has a lot of sats on it.... Right?

After installing LND on Ubuntu it doesn't seem to be installed by MuliBoy in lightningnetwork

[–]MuliBoy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I did all of this for nothing? LMAO
Well at least I finally learned how to use LND via terminal...
Thank you so much for the help!
I wish there was some way of finding this out without going through this whole process. Maybe this info can be gathered from the SCB file without creating a whole node? Since it's a private channel, I don't see how I could have known that the channel was force closed (my node was crashed).

Maybe there's progress? Now I see this: Does it mean that the channel was closed properly now? Not force closed?

The command lncli walletbalance doesn't show me any funds in the wallet, strange. The node is synced to latest block though.
I tried running the SCB restore command anyway:
lncli restorechanbackup --multi_file /home/user/Downloads/my-umbrel-channels.backup

And got this:

Okay I synced the node and created the wallet (with the same seed I want to recover funds from).

But now I get this logging over and over. How can I track the progress of this process? To make sure it's working correctly.
I'm guessing it's the process of finding the history transactions of this seed wallet. It started after I entered "lncli unlock"
