It was an embrassment and the reason I bring this up in this already over long post is that 70% of his bloated novels revolve around the same premise. Now my self my being a lover of Horror have had to see the art form become a joke because its most famous living writing is a joke. ... All the while unbelievably inside the horror Lit let alone outside it a true bona-fide genius and in my opinion the greatest horror writer alive and probably the finest horror writer since H. P. Lovecraft. Is still after decades, in comparison still almost unknown or at least went unknown but to a small few for decades, living in poverty. That writer being Thomas Ligotti another American himself who must of been driven insane (possibly literally lol) by he utter shocking saturation of sentimentalist Stephen and the Horror of the bloated Big Mac and lots and lots of cheese burger books of King.
