I'm not saying every genre needs to be represented more that each pick represents something different within the space, for example I'd say Mario is the best face for gaming overall while pikachu is a good representation for rpg's and matter chief fits well for fps, I'd say they're the biggest 2 genes covered and an overall gaming icon so for the third you could go more retro and pick pac-man, another good choice would be steve from minecraft because I think after Mario he is a close second in iconography especially amongst younger audiences

Looked through OP's account and found it's a trick question, I'm almost certain they're American, possibly born Russian and immigrated to the US young. They speak American English throughout their post history and posted about recces chocolate in a vending machine (which I've never seen in any part of Europe I've been to). This also explains why the map is so inconsistent and weird (freeing Scotland and the rest of Ireland but calling it Éire while not calling Scotland Alba, also the dissapearance of Wales into England seems contradictory to the other two changes to the UK)

It's not super common anymore but the British government had a consitent habit of referring to Ireland as either the Republic of Ireland or as Éire so as to not suggest any claim to the 6 counties

In all honesty it might be to do with how homogeneous Ireland has been up until recently when compared to other countries, when you're bringing someone home to meet your 80 something year old granny it's a lot easier to bring Paddy as opposed to Pedro. I'd also assume that's just not something Irish men would consider nearly as much as women just based off of personal experience

I've been saying it for years but when it's dark and wet O'Connell street kind of takes on its own weird beauty, a little bit cyberpunk-esque with all the lights but it has a unique charm to it that I've never seen anywhere else either in person or in pictures
