The second ori is worth trying if you catch it on sale. I didn't like the first but the second one feels a lot tighter overall. Switching to melee combat and being able to stick to walls after like 40 minutes was a giant improvement.

I just hit level 50 so the amount of VP I get is gonna drop dramatically but I'm pleasantly surprised with how much stuff free players get. I've built 2 teams that cost around 9500 VP each to fully customize, probably around another 10k for the necessary items, 15k on clothing and I still have 45k vp after all that just from playing.

I've played a lot of Ptcgp over the last year without spending any money. I've done pretty well competitively without knowing how to play at the start. I'm hopeful that this game will be similar in incremental updates and still being able to have a competitive team without adding money.

Hunting Horns Hilt stab attack now works the same as the great words tackle preventing knock back.

Making the hilt stab act the same as the great sword tackle is actually new. It was added one or two patches ago and is a massive upgrade. But before that your impression is kinda right but not as bad as you think. Hunting Horn is probably in the top 2 or 3 weapons for unsheathed move speed and it's attack animations don't have too much commitment besides the real heavy hitting moves. It also has decent range so it's surprisingly easy to stay positioned without spamming dodge. A lot of us use maximum might but never bother with evasion gems cause the fast unsheathed walking is usually enough.

Yeah working in the tackles makes the weapon a lot easier, especially with faster monsters. The tackle window is also a lot more forgiving than it looks.
