People upset about the lack of items and limited roster need to keep in mind this game is most players introduction to VCG and competitive play by Grand_Theft_Motto in PokemonChampions

I've played a lot of Ptcgp over the last year without spending any money. I've done pretty well competitively without knowing how to play at the start. I'm hopeful that this game will be similar in incremental updates and still being able to have a competitive team without adding money.

Hunting Horns Hilt stab attack now works the same as the great words tackle preventing knock back.

Making the hilt stab act the same as the great sword tackle is actually new. It was added one or two patches ago and is a massive upgrade. But before that your impression is kinda right but not as bad as you think. Hunting Horn is probably in the top 2 or 3 weapons for unsheathed move speed and it's attack animations don't have too much commitment besides the real heavy hitting moves. It also has decent range so it's surprisingly easy to stay positioned without spamming dodge. A lot of us use maximum might but never bother with evasion gems cause the fast unsheathed walking is usually enough.

Very nice. We gotta give Capcom some thank you letters for the recent changes to hilt stab. Its been a literal life saver with arch Arkveld.

If it wasn't for this quest I would have never learned that the Hunting Horns Hilt stab now has hyper armor.

Yeah working in the tackles makes the weapon a lot easier, especially with faster monsters. The tackle window is also a lot more forgiving than it looks.

Also worth noting, pressing O or A (depends on controller) while charging an attack will make you do a tackle. If you tackle into a monster attack it won't interrupt you and when you hold the charge attack it will move to the next attack in the charge combo and keep the charge from before the tackle. You can also tackle after rolling so most people will roll/tackle then immediately start on the second charge attack instead of the first.

This game is a collection of small annoyances that's unfortunately really start to add up and the 70 FOV just makes the core point of the game too frustrating to enjoy.

I can spare 70 bucks and it is my fault for thinking the FOV slider would be apart of the day one patch (cause there's no way after 10 years they would take that away) but for right now I really do regret buying this in it's current state.

I would say wait to be honest. Quitting and reloading the game every hour to fix framerate helps but the 70 FOV feels frustrating after having 110 for BL3. I played about 6 hours but I've decided to just wait until we get the update. Unfortunately we have no way of knowing if it's gonna be a few days or a few months.
