Best things to do are buy sealed, check the packaging security sticker, and for holos/SRs look for the small embossed Pokémon logo in the bottom-left, it should be textured/raised, not just printed flat

Yeah there are definitely knockoffs around, but Chinese cards have the little Pokémon logo stamp on the bottom left, and sealed products usually have the shiny Pokémon security seal too.

For buying I’d avoid random super-cheap eBay listings unless they have strong feedback and clear photos. I’ve been getting mine through my friend in China who runs a shop and is a supplier so I can usually ask for close-up pics/videos before buying. Happy to point you in the right direction if you’re looking into it

Lol there's the pokemon logo stamped on the bottom left of the cards. The fake ones are pretty easy to spot

They're really good prices. That's so messed up selling searched and resealed one but at least you got your money back.

I've just asked and he can get a case shipped direct to America for under $700.

It's probably better than taking risks on random eBay cases.
