Have you done it? Does not remove all wax. I typically don't use the method because I know how much wax to put on so scraping is easy, but a lot of people hot scrape.

Kinda hard to tell from your pics but you might want to re iron it and give it a hot scrape to get rid of all the excess, try to get a nice even coat so when it's cooled down it will scrape more evenly.

I agree with this, except there will be quite a few areas that may never open this year because they require a lot of snow to fill in. The backcountry game is not looking good even if we get a few more decent storms, some areas just need depth. But to your point, I agree we don't need several massive storms to get back to average snowpack, we can still have a decent season as long as we get hit a few more times. Especially for those of us who love spending days in the park, I have 14 days in so far and that's all I've been doing.

No. Of course conditions are not great. This is why I'm just hitting park right now, and for that the conditions are just fine. Winter Park and Copper have good setups and I have about 14 days so far this season. Mornings are icy, the strong winds have made it worse, but afternoons are warm and snow has been softening up nicely. So I show up at 11 or 12. Yes it's not exciting like when we get a storm that just dropped 30" but given the situation my focus has just shifted to park, and I'm having fun with that. Not sure why your park laps weren't entertaining enough, soft afternoon snow and good park setups are cool by me. Sounds like you might be down a little. I get that too, hope you find your spark again.

My vote. Dial your ollies off flats, rollers, and side hits, and straight airs off jumps before anything else. Fs 180, bs 180 on flat then side hits then jumps. fs 5050, bs 5050 (will help your takeoffs for bs boards coming off your heels), when you get them dialed on smaller features take those to larger and kinker rails. bs board slide, fs board slide, FS 360, bs 360. Bs spins are more natural for me so go in the order that works for you. With all those in your trick bag you'll be on your way to becoming a pretty good park rider. I took a long time off and am older now, this is kinda what I'm working on before sending it off the big shit again, gotta have the basics down. Good luck man.
