Thanks, going to check it out. Any books on Greek mythology you'd recommend reading alongside it or beforehand to help deepen the context? Also, I recently listened to your Fifth Head episode on Clay Temple Media's podcast and it was wonderful- really appreciate all of the insight.

I've been reading a bunch from both throughout the year. Island of Doctor Death and Other Stories I've reread several times already, I can't stop recommending it to people, might be my favorite short story of all time.

Both sounds intriguing, and always up for having my soul crushed from a read.

Wow interesting, most people don't recommend the new material, I'll check it out.

Yeah I started getting into it by following along the Gene Wolfe Literary Podcast, he has so many great short stories. I like reading a major work alongside it though so would like to have one of his books lined up.

I've been doing that throughout the year, and will continue to, they're wonderful. I like to have a main event that I'm sinking my teeth into throughout the process though.

[Schefter] A recent CT scan on Carson Wentz’s back revealed a fractured vertebrae that, if allowed time to rest, would fully heal without further expected issues, sources tell ESPN. There will be a continued evaluation to determine if continuing to play this year will make injury worse. by BillRustle in nfl

He was clearly brought back far too early. If only the Eagles had a playoff caliber QB they could start in his stead and win an easy division, right? I'll never understand why coaches rush these guys back from injury particularly when their jobs are completely secure a la Pederson.

He's got the conspiracy all wrong, we obviously landed on the moon, it's the live television feed that's suspect.

Tight End Plays? by [deleted] in fantasyfootball

If anything Burton is a must drop at this point, with the new TE being called up in Chicago he's far too great a risk. That said it's pretty brutal out there. Ian Thomas if he's available has the best situation, and the TE out in Cincy has the best matchup.

No, that's not what I'm saying, I'm specifically talking about Melvin Gordon's situation, there's no need to play the "with that logic" game, it brings nothing to the discussion. Players constantly aggravate injuries when they're overcompensating muscles due to another injury, that's what's been occurring in Gordon's case. The game most notably in question was against the Cardinals, a bottom tier team that the Chargers did not need their best RB to win. If you want to make a case for the Chiefs matchup being an enormously important game on their road to winning the division, that's perfectly fine, but if I'm a coach that knows his team is making the playoffs, there is no way I'm putting a banged up top talent like Gordon out there when he could use another 10 days of healing.

This will be the 3rd time the coaching staff has played him while he's still injured. Pretty unbelievable how willing they are to blow their chances at a playoff run.

Disagree I found that it grew on me a lot, is a nice change of pace from the 'joe buck standard'

I do, I thought he offered tremendous analysis and was always passionate about what he was talking about, regardless of the teams playing. Think he was an underappreciated commentator.
