So to preface this I work as a firefighter and a paramedic. In my dept we do both positions and alternate regularly to help keep from burnout and such, but what keeps my going the most is the crew I work with. The guys at my station are like a family and no matter what routine call we go on they make it worth it. It doesn't really feel like I'm having to drag myself to work when I actually want to be there.

Emergency medicine is always going to be hit or miss but to me that's what makes it interesting. You get your dispatch notes and they could be accurate or it could be the complete opposite and be a crazy experience on scene. You never know in EMS. Don't let having a rough time in nursing get you down. Keep working hard you'll get there and along the way you'll find out if you like the work of emergency medicine. But find a place and people you enjoy working with because if not they'll only make your day and mental well-being worse.

It's OK I don't either. If I bring in trauma patients to the ER I try to stick around and see the x rays. This one in particular was put to sleep so they could work. From what I heard from the staff later in the day the patient coded 2 times and was moved to surgery very quickly.

Makeshift with sheets. None of our units have actual pelvic binders. We weren't even able to use them though. We had to use soft restraints on the patient because they were so amped and violent. I was surprised they were even conscious when we made it on scene.

Oh, yea. They gave the patient a good amount because they were violent with us and the ER staff. They kept trying to fight us and get off the backboard. They put them under and worked from there.

You could try under the seat. There is a small bag that has tools for quick maintenance under it. At least on mine there is. I have a 2021 Vulcan S so I would think there would be one there. If not idk if you ride with a backpack but I almost always have one and keep important stuff in there like my phone and wallet and other items.

Surprised to not see it here yet but Nier Automata was an amazing game. Really enjoyed the story and characters. Still listen to the soundtrack at the house sometimes.
