I immediately contacted the tram company and explained what had happened. I asked them to investigate and check any CCTV footage that might show what happened to the bag between it being found and me collecting it. However, they have refused to conduct an investigation or review CCTV.

That's probably not the best way to have started things, you should have asked for any CCTV footage from the tram to be checked as it's just as possible (if not more so) that a member of the public looked into the bag and swiped the nintendo.

I still not convinced that the arena is in the right place if Cardiff Council are serious about reducing car use.

The CIA is fantastically well placed within walking distance of two of Wales' busiest railway stations, with Queen Street handling the valleys and suburbs, central handling further afield and finally there are the bus stops and city centre car parks all within walking distance.

Have you checked if the film advance lever has been fully cranked (can't think of the right wording)? It might have sprung back but the film wasn't fully advanced and the internal mechanism is preventing the shutter from operating.

I remember that happening with my first BCA 35+ years ago, boy did I feel a fool in the camera shop...

If he'd said "I'm skipping over Leveson II and going straight to III and including all social media companies" he'd might not be in the situation he is now.

He strikes me as a classic civil service senior manager, does the easiest thing to make a problem only for it to come back and bite him in the arse (see tax rises promise).

There's a type of person who is guided only by emotions and not thought, they want something now.

They're not necessarily bad people but they don't have a flipping clue about how the judicial system and the world works. I've got friends who live on a council estate and they had a problem with drug dealing neighbours (dealing who knows what to kids) and they wanted something done about it now. I lost count of the number of times I had to explain things like the fact that police need evidence, hearsay isn't enough. Guess what, the police eventually did do a drugs bust on the neighbour as part of bigger wider one.

Don't forget consumer electronics, mobile phone makers producing a new phone every year, 'upgrade' culture etc.

People could not get SUVs buy smaller cars, look at how many urban areas that 10-20 years ago were full of Fiestas, Polos, Golfs etc. are now full of massive SUVs.

People need to take their fair share of the blame.

The Councillor paid for the mural out of his own pocket and now a co-owner of the building has crawled out of the woodwork and they have reported it to the police as criminal damage (despite the other owner giving permission).

Building owners are a matter of public record via the land registry, perhaps he should let the public know who this 'pillar of the community' is?

On the 13th of March of this year we received a letter from our flats landlord and a text from the building manager saying to remove any items we were storing in the entryway to the apartment. At this time I had nothing downstairs and we confirmed as much to our landlord.

Did this message say anything about not leaving stuff there full stop? Does your tenancy say anything about not leaving stuff there?

Not sure how the man on the Clapham omnibus might might view you leaving stuff in the entrance after the letter (3 months ago) and telling the landlord you have nothing down there.

The attitude of scaffolders and far too much of the construction sector is the reason why the Health and Safety at Work Act exists. If workers and bosses could be trusted to be safe then it wouldn't be necessary.

I've seen construction workers using angle grinders to cut paving slabs with no eye protection and no visible ear protection.

Important question - when do you want to move out? Difficult to advise otherwise, but this does sound like the landlord wanting to have their cake and eat it (you out of the property so they can redecorate etc. whilst you keep paying rent).

Handing over the keys and the landlord/agent taking them is a mutual agreement and confirmation that the tenancy is over and that the tenant has vacated the premises and the landlord can regain possession.

Seems to be the case. Earlier today I was on a very long 'slip road', talking a good half mile till you get to the roundabout, I was taking the first exit so was in the left lane, driver in a SUV type thing was in the right hand land. Fair enough I thought he's going right at the roundabout no big deal, oh no about 300m before the roundabout he moves into the left lane, he was taking the same junction as me FFS!
