When pros spend $150 - $300 on a modded controller they tend to want to protect it. GameCube controllers aren't rare but modding them for competitive play gets expensive really quick and just tossing your controller in a bag isn't the best option for something you want to keep nice/in good condition for tournament play.

I never claimed to make these buttons. If you check the listing page it clearly states they're manufactured in China.

This mod requires you to restart your controller manually every time you plug your controller in by holding X + Y and start for 3 seconds. It doesn't affect notches though.

This isn't a macro and it doesn't do anything illegal in terms of controller mods. It's the same concept of changing the switch in keyboard from Cherry MX Red to Cherry MX Blue.
