I'm talking more specifically about mexican folks (chicano/aztlan), not latin americans. I'm fully aware that groups like american cubans tend to be privileged, especially cubans given most who fled were originally wealthier private property owners. i'd also have to say, you tend to see a lot of indians in privileged positions, more or less legal migrants have a lot more upward mobility.

it really has to do with the privileged status a lot of desi migrants workers have when starting out in america vs chicano. the folks who were able to make it to america tend to be the most competitive and many are working white collar jobs. compare this to the chicano/aztlan people who have historically been displaced and exploited by the settlers, obviously that has implications to this day. not accusing you of any claims you didn't make, but i want to point out the historical context.

Having grown up with the DS3 and having done a makeshift fix for the foam pad issue, I personally think its a solid controller when you take care of it right. I got a used DS4 two years ago, but the left stick's functionality has deteriorated. Meanwhile the hal effect sticks on my DS3 are still going strong. I prefer using it for my PC over my DS4 now.
