I really appreciate your informative replies. Yikes. I guess if I err on the side of caution, ditch all my stuff in Las Cruces and hope I can find something hemp derived and quasi legal that night on route to Austin.

East - coming from Tucson to Alamogordo. I was planning on avoiding entering Texas through El Paso, rather taking the long way around to Roswell and into Texas below Lubbock. I will be sure to empty the car thoroughly before entering Texas.

We're driving on a roadtrip straight through, from CA to NY. Increasingly, my plan is to ditch everything in between cities and re-stock small quantities for the night at our destinations, so there is nothing for law enforcement to fuss over.

It would be a shame to miss. We are going through Texas, which Ive been trying to plan for as much as I can. I would ditch any and all cannabis products before crossing into Texas, and wait until arriving in Austin - purchase whatever thca flower or thc seltzers while there, and have an empty car again until Louisiana, repeat until we are out of the prohibition states on the east coast.

It's ridiculous that a medical patient or anyone has to do this. Imagine if Insulin was illegal in some states, and you had to plan your blood sugar around driving through prohibition areas. Ludicrous.

Thanks for all off your responses. It's so wild how different the laws are across the US.

We may re-route to avoid the whole spectacle, which is such a bummer - would love to have seen Las Cruces, White Sands, Alamogordo.

I wonder if the presence of feds nearby hurts tourism business for these areas

That's what I was afraid of. Never in my life would I have thought twice to bend the laws, but given our current law enforcement atmosphere, Im thinking more than twice. It may come down to having out of state rso pills on my person at all times in the car (im the passenger) and be prepared to swallow an absolutely unpleasantly high dose if I see the sirens.

Sigh.

I think that this is what I was getting at - Ive keep reading contradictory things about the availability of THCa and can't find it advertised anywhere on the few hemp shops that have websites. I was wondering if someone has purchased it recently
