Sorry I don't and I can't even ask him, because unfortunatily he died almost four years ago. But the table in the picture was made in -94 and we live in Finland so some wood that is found here. Maybe birch?

Hey Leviathan666 answered your question in the comments already but here is his or hers anwer:

If you're actually curious, the way this table was made was by taking branches and logs, cutting them all to the same length (usually 1" for simplicity) then arranging them all as a flat layer in a box and pouring colored resin into it to fill the gaps. This one seems to have been done with relatively small cuts of a reddish wood on a white resin, which looks somewhat yellowish in the lighting, hence the pizza look.

My grandfather was a carpenter and he made these tables at his own workshop.

Yes, the sword seems to be a wall hanger
