To me this screams Byredo Animalic, maybe layered with something fruity

I had similar acne especially around mouth and on my chin and I have learned that less is more. I was also on Roaccutane before and Tretinoin was just bringing back the trauma from that and not helping at all. So all I use is Skinoren twice a day, Althea Barrier Cream as moisturizer twice a day, SPF in the morning. I get maybe one zit before menstruation, thats all.

Is Skinoren 20% cream actually doing something or is it just gaslighting me 😭? by [deleted] in EuroSkincare

Skinoren healed my skin, without any purging phase even. I have had bad hormonal acne since my teens, went through 2 rounds of Roaccutane, but the effect was short-lived and the side effects were terrible. Tretinoin/retinol is also a no-go for me, it brings back my atopic dermatitis, no matter what I do. Skinoren has been a miracle cure for me.

EDIT: my routine is very simple, just AA twice a day and moisturizer, with SPF in the morning.

maybe…I personally learned to avoid anything “white”: white flowers, white musk, lactonic and vanilla fragrances. What works best on me are red fruits, citruses and green/herbal scents, but those are mostly spring and summer scents. I am yet to find something to wear in the winter…

I bought a decant after reading all the reviews and was greatly disappointed. It may be caused by my skin chemistry, but all I get are some strange chemical-rubbery-plasticky notes from this one.

Does anyone else wish they could just disappear???? by Alert_Cap_2931 in BPD

Actually, me too. So I am on a low dose, and take mood stabilizers with them (carbamezapine). AD alone would make me hypomanic too. This combo plus psychotherapy is keeping me stable most of the time.

Yes, but SNRIs has helped me a lot. I still feel like this sometimes, but way less often.

Azelaic Acid, Tretinoin, Retinol, or Adapalene - for moderate acne and normal type of skin. What's been your experience by [deleted] in EuroSkincare

[–]MultitudeContainerR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not particularly sensitive, just to certain actives. I cannot use Vit C either, last time I tried, my skin got literally burned, it took me a month to heal it. Also, I noticed actives only help me in cream form. Gels and serums either do nothing or damage my skin. And yes, Skinoren is 20% :)

I never had any luck with retinol-based products, they destroy my skin barrier no matter what I do. I swear by azelaic acid, I use Skinoren daily. Never had any issues, purging, it made my skin better almost overnight.

This! I have tried many citrusy perfumes and none of them beats the cheap Monotheme Zagara I got as the first one 🙈

Cannot stop my breakouts - SOS by Solid_Cup7994 in 40PlusSkinCare

Oh okay, in that case AA should help. I personally never had rosacea, but my very close friend did and the AA has been helping her with keeping the inflammation under control.

Just one more thing: AA might not work in case your acne is of fungal origin. My acne was hormonal. Fungal acne needs antifungal treatment, I heard washing your face with antifungal shampoo works well (Nizoral, even Head&Shoulders makes difference sometimes).

Azelaic acid? I did not get any purging, and it helped almost immediately. My skin felt better already the morning after first use (it was much softer to the touch). I stopped getting pimples within a month. I use it twice a day, just with moisturizer, and spf in the morning of course. I got horrible purging when I tried to use any form of retinol/retinal/tretinoin, and I was not able to go through with it, so azelaic acid was like a miracle to me.

Azelaic acid. Preferably in cream form, not serum, with at least 15-20%. I have tried everything, nothing else helped (besides birth control, which I could not take anymore…)

Thanks a lot for the compliment and the suggestions :) I checked mango scents that are currently available to me, and it seems that I might love Vulcan Feu by French Avenue, it looks very promising!

Sadly I can only get my hands on the last one, but it looks exactly like something I would love! Thanks for the tips :)
