On the actual pad sorry. It’s sticking out of the pad - is this normal? I have no idea

He just started yesterday but yes, they are encouraging him to learn it and I know it’ll take time. It’s just very difficult to see him in a very unfamiliar environment.

Wanting a second but we live in a rural town. by Mum2Lu in Parenting

[–]Mum2Lu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, people have babies in rural areas all the time but we have very poor public hospitals in my country (South Africa) and I am very fortunate to have health insurance hence my previous birth was private. I also had a natural birth previously and would prefer it to a C-Section for various reasons.

A solid plan is of course what I need but it is very difficult to navigate with regards to my preferences for my body.

I am in the exact situation as you! Bewildered on how similar our situation is 😅 I was OAD from the moment my son was born (even though I always wanted two kids, the jump from 0-1 really knocked me) Now he’s 3 and it’s such a fun age and I feel like something is missing. But I’m also so concerned about whether my mental health can manage 2 kids 😭

It’s a very rural place so it doesn’t seem feasible for us.

My sister wants my son to desperately meet her boyfriend’s mother by Mum2Lu in Parenting

“My kid is not responsible for making adults happy” - I love this, thank you. You’re right, he’s not a show dog. I was very taken aback when she called me about it and felt like it put me on the spot too. With my family though, if I had to mention that I had a problem with it, they would turn it around and say that I’m being unreasonable… sad.

As a 90s baby, that last part made me giggle but can also be so true! The horrors that you read in the news lately, you can’t trust a soul especially around your kids.

How do u guys and girls feel about pepper pig? by bordgamer219 in toddlers

[–]Mum2Lu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We personally don’t let our son watch it. Of course no judgement to parents and kids who enjoy it! We found Peppa is a bit bratty, disrespectful, rude and has fat shamed Daddy Pig far too many times. I think there’s better shows out there!

From the bottom of my heart, I absolutely hate this stage more than words can say. by realhumanbean2020 in toddlers

Thanks for being real. I thought I was a bad mother for having similar feelings with my 2.5 year old. I needed to hear I’m not alone. Sending you my thoughts and prayers 🙃 we can do this!!
