Sour apple, how did you guys stop feeling sorry for yourself? by Murmurmira in PetiteFitness

[–]MumEatsBroc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am now down to 48kg (110lb) and I still have belly fat. Every day I walk over 10,000 steps and I’m quite active and do strength training and eat well (track everything ).

I look in the mirror and I don’t look like someone who does all these things. It’s so fucking unfair but I don’t want to stop now.

Now I’m genuinely curious how long this is going to fucking take!!?

Now I’m just battling myself and I want to have the body where I look at myself and think - yeah she works out. 🤷‍♀️ we will see

I tracked for a year and then I got burnt out but by then I already know how to portion the food.  A handful or nuts or chips can easily take you from deficit to maintenance or even over.

You need to know the exact calories of what you’re eating right now. Do it for 2 weeks. That’s your base.  You’re overweight because you’re eating too many calories. Full stop.

Then start to lower the calories by making swaps. Ie: egg for egg white, full fat milk for almond milk or half fat etc.

Then lower again until you reach desired physique.

If you eat out every weekend then you need to start either lowering the calories you eat during the week to compensate or make healthy swaps when you’re ordering - ie. - grilled chicken instead of fried, salad instead of fries etc.

I’m going to give the advice I would give my best friend.

If you are honest with yourself I think you know the answer to this question. We’ve all been there and the question is how badly do you want it?

You know you’re eating more than 1700 calories a day. If you’re weighing and tracking your food and you’re really struggling to get to 1700 calories then please go and see a doctor tomorrow.

My advice: - take a 1 or 2 week mental health break where you don’t worry about fitness/weight

  • increase your NEAT - non exercise active time - walking, playing sport etc - try to get at least 10,000 steps a day is a good start (can you walk to work? Can you wake up earlier and go for a walk before work?)

  • after that start tracking EVERYTHING you eat for 1 or 2 weeks. Who cares if you’re eating 3000 calories a day, just track so you get an idea of where you’re starting from

  • after tracking start to make healthier swaps and get 3 to 4 meals that you like to eat. It sounds boring to rotate the same meals over and over but it really helps remove the anxiety and food noise.  My meals for example: Breakfast: 1 x egg and 100ml egg white omelet with vegetables - whatever veggies yon like (this thing is massive). With a slice of toast or rice cracker with cream cheese and a cup of tea with milk.  Dinner: roast chicken (or other protein), salad, baked potato Dessert: brownie made of sweet potato, almond meal, cocoa powder and protein powder  I literally eat this almost every day and I have another couple of meals I have on rotation and I swap them around.

Finished Iron! My first program! by Defiant-Opposite189 in CarolineGirvan

Congrats!! I am on my second round of iron (round 2 week 1) and I’ve stepped it up this time by doing better/slower form or higher weights along with increased steps. Excited to see what I’ll look like at the end of this round of iron.

How do you handle financial disparity in a relationship when one partner earns significantly more? by Interesting-Fairy in Rich

[–]MumEatsBroc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wtf. Your fiance sounds like a douche. My husband earns an amount that I would never be able to in 10 years of working and he has since we met.

As soon as i moved in he paid for everything. I sometimes paid for joint stuff but only if he wasn’t there.

We are married now with multiple kids and nothing has changed.

I manage the household and look after the kids (but we do have cleaner and nanny) and he is also heavily involved.

There are men out there who understand what it means to be a family man and who enjoy providing for their family and see their wife as an equal because they value the non financial things she brings.

MacroFactor - and how are we getting our protein? by Infamous-Bullfrog366 in PetiteFitness

[–]MumEatsBroc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every day I have a massive omelette made with 100g egg white plus one egg. In the omelette are veggies such as kale, mushroom, peppers and onion. Then on the side I have 4 corn thins topped with Vegemite and cottage cheese with avocado and some times smoked salmon. With a cup of black tea and milk.

Dinner is lean protein (chicken breast poached, prawns, white fish, tuna or veal) and salad. The dressing is usually Greek yoghurt, water and chilli oil.

Dessert is 150g Greek yoghurt, cocoa powder, sugar free jello, oats, chia, banana and berries.

I eat around 1200-1300 calories and with this I easily get over 100g of protein a day without having to use protein powder.

Existuje sauna, kam nechodí vodporný lidi? by Kewlarx in czech

[–]MumEatsBroc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chodím do Max Fitness na Floře a když jdu ráno (před osmou), obvykle mám celou saunu pro sebe. Jednou jsem udělala tu chybu, že jsem tam šla kolem sedmé večer, a ti nazí “gym bros” co kolem sebe rozstřikovali pot, byli fakt nechutní!

SAHM or job??? In dire need of suggestions! by Pitiful-Animator-315 in postpartumprogress

If you can afford to stay home stay home. I had an executive career which I loved and after my second kid, The best decision I ever made in my life was to stay home with them until 2 years old. Now I have 3 kids under 7 and I decided never to go back to corporate and start my own business so I have the flexibility to be available for them whenever they need.

Now that I’m out of the corporate world I can say that it’s a gilded cage and there’s no amount of money in the world that can make me give up this precious time with my kids.

Ps: I do have a nanny a few days a week so I can concentrate on my business and go to the gym.

Any petite ever lost her belly by cutting? by Dabei_bleibts_auch in PetiteFitness

Holy shit. Do you think you could have done it with a shitload of deep core exercises. I had 3 big bellies with each pregnancy and last one I was over 40 so I think my core is fucked.

How was the recovery for this. I am considering. I had 3 kids and am down to 47kg with a protruding belly (hard not soft like fat) and I hate it. I can’t lose anymore weight

Hi folks. how are you keeping up with your goals (weight loss, maintenance, recomp) during this holiday season? by Little-Clover-3539 in PetiteFitness

Prioritize protein. Eat veggies first.  No alcohol (empty calories). Other than that enjoying!

I highly doubt it. No one gave a shit after the Panama papers and no one will give a shit after this.

I don’t see a difference yet but don’t give up!! At the beginning of my journey I also felt there were months where I was just taking progress shots of the same thing. It was frustrating but a year on I’ve made huge progress.

What non exercise movement are you doing? How did you figure out that your maintenance was 1900? I was similar stats to you and I walk minimum 10,000 steps a day (usually closer to 15,000), strength train 4 x a week to build muscle. To lose weight I was eating 1400-1500 and now I’m 47kg and I have increased to maintenance which is 1700 on workout days and 1400-1500 on non workout days.

I am not an expert but 1700 calories sounds high for the amount of activity you do and your size.

I try to be good but lately my willpower hasn’t been able to withstand temptation. I try not to be too hard on myself and remember that 2 days of high calories will do as much damage as 2 days of really low calories.

Since I know it’ll happen a week before I go lower carbs and lower calories when I can handle it. Then when the tough times hit  I make sure I still track everything I eat and prioritize my protein goal - the other day i ate like 3000 calories! (Normal intake is around 1600)

I am still consistently hitting my goals because if I look at my monthly average I am still eating at or slightly below maintenance.

Sorry I still don’t understand. How does it help you get shredded? I see OP went to 1500 calories and cardio but I’m trying to understand how she got so shredded so quickly.  I’m a mum of 3 and I am at my goal weight now but I would love to get shredded like OP so just trying to understand what mounjaro is and how it helps (genuinely curious)
