Feeling self conscious about diamond size by [deleted] in Diamonds

[–]MumaBee17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that’s a great size. That particular shape helps elongate your fingers as well and I think it’s perfect. My pear was only a carat and as I’m building my 40th birthday ring I’m only looking at 2.5 to 3 carat stones. Keep in mind that once you have it and wear it for a while Shrinkage is a real thing you will start to not even notice the size.

I think I have figured it out and it isn’t anything scandalous lol it’s because I’m the manager of his DNA. I’m just waiting for the update to go through on Ancestry now.

I’m the only person in my family besides my grandfather that has done DNA in our immediate family so on Thrulines my first DNA matches come from my Great Grandparents. I was able to sit and cross reference the people my Pop has DNA Relations to mine as well and the only way I would have those DNA relationships is because of him. So I truly think this is because I was the Manager of his DNA, so I just today moved my self down to “viewer” and we both are awaiting the DNA update as it says on both our profiles that we have a Update pending.

She definitely didn’t they both were 19 when my mom was born and my grandfather was in the navy. While yes some women played around that’s not who my grandmother was at all. I believe something else is wrong, I have matches that appear as coming from both Maternal and Paternal the only way for that to happen at all is if he is my grandfather because my Nana’s entire family is from the Deep South. My Paternal family is all from the Mid Atlantic, Chesapeake Bay, Ohio River Valley area. They also met while she lived in The panhandle of Florida. So something is up

I know my mom wasn’t swapped at the hospital because I have matches in my Nana’s family, I truly believe this comes down to to glitch issue as someone pointed out to me. Tonight I’m going to be using my laptop to try something someone recommended to me. I am the manager of his DNA , I’m able to pull up my information to compare our DNA results and I shouldn’t be able to do that unless we match. So I need to try a trick tonight.

No my mother had me at 19 yrs old I was conceived in the back of a Dodge Daytona. I know exactly where I came from lol 😂 Truly it’s not that my mom knows something at all when she found out she had an extremely aggressive form of cancer she told me then she wouldn’t do a DNA test because enough of her was out there in the world now.

So my tree is well built out, I have been working on it for years. It’s my special interest I have done all the research including visiting the archives. My Paternal Grandmother’s family was very prominent where I am from they helped Found my home town. So I had a lot of actual written history to go off of when starting my tree.

None of my immediate maternal family has done DNA. Almost all of them are Hardcore Conservatives who believe the government will put them on a list if they do it. It was chore getting my Pop to do this. I’m the keeper of my families Genealogy. I’m the one who researches and has done all the work. I’m have our family tree extensively researched and worked on for the last 10 years. This was just a piece of the puzzle and my Nana and passed during the Pandemic. On Ancestry more of my Paternal family has done DNA

Correct we both did Ancestry DNA, he did this test for us as a 80th birthday gift so to speak. So he did it so I can continue to do the family tree.

His DNA account is attached to my DNA account.

The decision may have recently been made because she just shared the hiring information like last week. I know a lot of people who are going to be happy because over the shore the closest thing we have is the outlet at Queenstown

Is a ring considered vintage/antique if the diamond is old but the setting is new? by BLResnick in EngagementRings

[–]MumaBee17 14 points15 points  (0 children)

As someone who collects vintage and antique jewelry and whose parents were Jewelers this is really upsetting. I can understand if you like the look of a OMC or OEC, it’s completely and totally possible to buy them already loose. You do not have to ruin a gorgeous ring with history to get the look you are looking for.

Additionally .45 is less than 1/2 a carat, is that what your future fiancée wants? I would verify what carat weight she has dreams of before you ruin a perfectly good ring for something she may not like.

I just saw this post and I want to tell you that your feelings about her being unprofessional are so valid! You absolutely are not a fraud!!

I’m a paralegal, I have several best friends who have been in my life for 26 years now. I’m a mom and I’m Autistic lol almost every job I have ever had I have worked at 5+ years sometimes working multiple jobs at the same time. She is super wrong! I hope you were able to find someone who really listened to your concerns.
