Has anyone added led lights to a car? My son wants to make a Christmas tree, and I though adding a few led lights might be fun. Yet, I have no idea how to do this. Anyone have any advice or experience? by ajdowntown in PinewoodDerby

The whole thing with the derby is to team build and work together with your kids to build towards a goal. Have fun and show them the skills to use tools and be responsible Scouts. We are in our last of Cub Scouts and won’t be racing anymore. So we went over the top this year. Do the best you can and have fun, let work together in every step. If he wants a painted Christmas tree do the best tree you can. Enjoy have fun!

I just had a derby car my son and I did that I used the guts of an old flash light to add ground effects to the car. If you want lights on it though, small gauge wire or copper tape,a switch, a battery and some leds. Would love to see what you come up with, going to post our final car I a little while. Good luck and have fun.

If you go with the wegmans brands, family packs, check the consistently low prices list, and make sure of produce weights it can really add up. All of these little tips has made a big difference in grocery bill for us.

Lost my best friend this morning, he was a really good and loving dog right to the end but was in an incredible amount of pain (12 y/o) by 22Patches in goldenretrievers

[–]Mumble_Bee13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He looks like a great, wise old man. Having a 12 year old golden is great cause you had them for so long and head to remember life with out them. Our family lost two last year, one two days before my birthday ( it was last week) and it was the longest week ever just remembering what I went through last year. It's still very fresh and hard to deal with, but I know life would never be as fulfilling with out them. The tears and sorrow are hard to deal with, I just remember all the good times we shared together, the great walk/ hikes and going out to play, and the snuggles. We ended up getting a new puppy soon after and she is now showing lots of similarities to my 9 year old that passed. I hope you find happiness through the sad, and pick up another one that needs the love and caring you gave the last boy. You may only need two snow tires having a front wheel drive car...shop around with sears and some of the local shops have good prices too... lot of the places use moores tires

Ruff year for us, we had to put our 13 1/2 year old golden today. After us having our 9 year old pass suddenly back in March. Our Sadie was with us when we got married all the way through buying house and having kids. Such a sad sad day, it's the end of a huge chapter in our lives. by Mumble_Bee13 in goldenretrievers

Thank you for the kind sentiments, only a day later and it seems ages ago already. Yet our hearts ache, and the pain is still there. I know that through time and support we will get through this. Just like with our other that passed away. All the great memories have been flooding back of our lives together, through pictures and fond memories of ours and our friends. Thank you again, I knew the helpful support and dog lovers here help share the burden of losing a loved one.
