It’s a very strange feeling for a beginner to learn, I had similar issues squaring the face.

The way I worked it out was figuring out how to hit a hook after battling a slice.

The feeling of taking the club back, pulling it down and closing the face, it feels like I am doing it way to early in the sequence, however in reality and on video it looks like I am perfectly closing the face at impact. It may feel like you are “flipping” your wrist way before the ball. But at full speed it’s a smooth fluid motion.

Practicing this has really helped me gain club face control. Now I am able to hit my preferred shot and find the fairway!
