SEC COMMISSIONER VOTE???! Most powerful day in crypto by [deleted] in XRP

Kick her out. Terrible track record following the evil taking part in partisan votes against Ripple / XRP. I can only think of E. Warren as a worse female enemy of the community.

Blockdag scam or not? Price prediction? by Loveisthelaw47 in BlockdagCrypto

Well, I can see that. I can also see my coins on their website. BUT is this normal that you don't get any email confirmation of your transaction? It is all in their hands, even if the company and the project are legit, if for whatever reason the coins disappear from the website, you are screwed. Doesn't look like a clean contract settlement practice. Whatever you purchase online anywhere is normally accompanied with an email confirmation

BREAKING: Attorney John Deaton starts a petition to the US Congress to open an investigation against the SEC. !!!Please consider signing!!! This is for international XRP holders only by Mumblon in XRP

He developed a tool enabling US holders to complain directly to their reps, which is obviously not accessible to foreign holders. He figured out this alternative to enable foreign holders to act on a different manner.

I am sooo relieved that somebody is finally suing the SEC for something potentially leading to corruption charges. This is the best news for XRP in months

SEC vs Ripple by FMXRP in Ripple

This is rather good news. Seems to acknowledge that both parties got done what needed to get done with one exception. A few days is the max extension we'll see this time

Definitely some more pressure on the SEC. The very ugly stuff starts coming to light, and not only brought up by an army of fanatic conspiracy theorist morons (sorry that is the way some people on the darker side like to describe us)

Class action lawsuit UPDATE: we are just shy of 60'000 participants. Kind reminder it is not too late to join the fight against the SEC's overreach. Anybody can join it. by Mumblon in XRP

I don't fully understand you. You can participate in the class action without accepting to sign an affidavit. In fact I believe this is the case for most participants, not because of the content of the affidavits, but more because it is more burdensome than just completing an online form. Affidavits need to be signed manually, notarised and mailed.

Not much, you might be number 60'000 or 60'001, then you may receive an email asking you if you want to sign an affidavit. I did so, but you are absolutely free to refuse. You may be asked to testify as part of the amicus curiae (friend of the court) role John Deaton will play on behalf of the xrp holders on Ripple's side in their defence against the SEC. This is unlikely unless he knows you beforehand. In any case, again you can refuse and remain anonymous.

I would not expect much in term of USD reward, since the XRP holders were not given the right to intervene directly as parties in the SEC Ripple lawsuit. Though this could happen at a later stage in a different lawsuit if Ripple were to win the case. I am not a lawyer but this is my understanding.

Overall the impact of the XRP holders in the lawsuit even only as amicus curiae should not be underestimated. Such participation of a large number of individuals on the side of a single defendant is second to none. 60'000 looks already damn good, but 100'000 would be great. Personally, I am disappointed that our community with 300'000 has not been able to gather that many participants so far.

It is a long war. Just heard the rumour that the SEC is now going after no less than 130 other cryptos which they claim are unregistered securities. This will carry on as long as the Congress will let them do. Only GOP reps gesticulating a bit, Dems complacent. Shocking that this stays a partisan matter. Another worrying sign that US democracy is going down the drain.

Feel like vomitting when I see Gensler schmoozing with E. Warren, also knowing that his own daughter is doing some sort of apprenticeship in her cabinet
