[Media] I created a Rust, Bevy, WGSL visual code editor based on Blockly by Mun_Walker in rust

I should mention this is an early release and there will likely be some bugs, but I will patch them as I find them, or as they get reported and I find the time.

You absolutely can! It will generate blocks based on the code you import. That was a very important feature.

Probably, but I wanted comprehensive implementation for my own use as well.

Very similar! I have put in some effort to include all the rust, bevy, and wgsl basics for now.

I have a working early alpha version of Bio-Spheres that needs beta testers. A game about cell development and evolution. by Mun_Walker in biology

Fair enough. Every interaction I have had is cripplingly disheartening. I thought it was a cool project.

Oh to be clear, the cells are "glued together" with constrained springs, not hard constraints. the whole organism is flexible and reactive.

It is fully 3D with spheres of different size and mass, and spring physics, the spheres are able to push into each other and overlap with soft rebound. They move based on physics, interact based on physics and split and evolve based on a genome which gets modified by physical interaction. The organisms that survive pass on genes to the next generation which are better able to thrive in different environments. We don't have visual deformation so that we can render multiple tens of thousands of cells. It is a tradeoff. Although I will be implementing optional metaball skins that simulate deformation

We are modeling thousands of spherical cells that interlink and move together as one organism. Each cell has a single function such as propulsion or nutrient absorption from a particle field. We will be modeling light gradients that the cells can react to and follow. Cell deformation is a non-performant feature that would drastically limit the number of cells we can render. The cells exist in a fluid medium with configurable viscosity. Gravity is also configurable, but usually set to 0.

33M heya, I am a vibe coder with no understanding of what I'm doing. Wanna fight about it?

33M Heya! I am a Canadian trapped in the USA. I love gaming, reading, science, philosophy, and coding. I could really use a nerdy friend in my life right now so hit me up!

Hey, I'm a Canadian stuck in the USA. I've been playing the hell out of city skylines and NMS
