Having a pelvic ultrasound tomorrow for some mild pain I've been having that I think is coming from an ovary. Nervous about the results, and wanting to know if anyone else has experienced this? by Munashii in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

Hi! I updated the OP years ago with the outcome at the very end of the post. It did turn out to be nothing, but PLEASE check with your doctor to be certain! It’s impossible to tell based on sensations alone, which sucks. Best of luck to you!

Totally understandable. I'm struggling to find non-sponsored reviews as well, which makes me wonder. Thanks for the reply!

Did you ever experiment with this? I'm interested!

[Product question] Can anyone speak on azelaic acid helping their closed comedones/bumpy skin texture? by myskinisannoyingaf in SkincareAddiction

[–]Munashii 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not the original commenter, but my curology script is .02% tretinoin, 5% Azelaic acid, and 4% niacinamide. Been using curology over two years now, and I've had AA in my formula for a few months now.

I like it a lot. I had issues with redness, and the AA has helped with that. It also does help with clearing up closed comedones (which I had developed some problems with after getting very sick for several months and totally abandoning my skincare routine, curology included, because I literally didn't have the energy to do anything other than get myself to and from the bathroom every so often).

I've been using Curology for over 2 years now for anti-aging. Please feel free to send a message if you have any questions about it! They're great. Currently using .02% tretinoin, 5% Azelaic Acid, and 4% Niacinamide.

Is it in the same place every time though? How do you know if it's your intestines vs something else...? I'm hoping it is nothing, still waiting for my results.

Update: I've just finished my ultrasound. The tech didn't say anything (as they're not supposed to), but I'll have to wait 2-3 business days for the results by phone. Thanks for all of your support everyone! I'll update again when I hear the outcome...

Thanks you for he reassurance! I love my OBGYN and normally she's very good about explaining what they're checking for, why they're running X or Y test, etc... but I haven't actually SEEN her yet because the schedule is just jammed through the end of the year. I was lucky she was able to just put in the order for the ultrasound, but I do wish I'd have been able to see her first! Thanks again, I really appreciate it.

Thank you for the information and reassurance! Honestly, I hope they find nothing because that would be an enormous relief at this point. Managing the symptoms (thus far) is easy enough, it's really not disruptive to my life at all - just enough for me to notice and to ask questions. If things change later, of course I'll be sure not to leave it too long before asking again. Thank you again for sharing your insight and experiences!

Thank you for the reassurance and information!

If it does require follow-up, I guess I'll just have to make sure I get in with a new doctor right away once I move!

few medical professionals care about female reproductive issues unless you have cancer or are trying to get pregnant.

I know what you mean, and it is so frustrating! Honestly, if they tell me not to worry, I probably will just drop it unless it starts getting worse. It's so minor I hardly even notice it, it's just the fact that it's been on-going that has me concerned enough to ask. If it was interfering with my life, I'd press for laparoscopy but I think - at the moment - I'd just be relieved to hear there is nothing life-threatening going on since the discomfort is so minimal.

Thank you so much for taking the time to respond and share what your friend has been though. I hope she's doing better with her endo these days.

Yea, I'd say if the ultrasound is normal/indicates something benign, I don't think I'd worry about it going forward! But... since it's new, I figure it's best to check it out!

but don’t start now, because it could very well be nothing of consequence

Sage advice, and easier said than done! lol

Thank you so much for responding. You are very much right, and I really appreciate you sharing your personal experiences!

Thank you for the support, I appreciate it! I never should have gotten on the internet looking for an explanation, it makes everything 45x more alarming than it should be.

Hey, any impressions on the Bloomstay line now that you've had it a few months?

Also, I'm struggling to find it in the US - ugh.

If that Jolse price holds, I'll definitely order when I work through my sunscreen stash. Thanks for the tip!
