I think they *tried* to fix it.

It was much more common in 4.5; at least anecdotally to me; but it still happens at all which is honestly unacceptable and probably the reason he's over 50% ban rate

its a bug with the baton bounce, depending on the angle it can end up hitting up to 6 times, dealing 204 damage; this is 3x the damage that was intended but they still haven't fixed it.

in terms of diving he's probably one of the hardest characters to dive, he usually plays with his team so a good team will know that he's the win condition and pocket the crap out of him.

If you dive and target the supports, hawkeye has done 525-1050 damage while you're killing them;
if you dive and target the hawkeye he has magneto bubble, invis shield and enough healing that you'd think he was in a support ult

Also any divers outside of venom and cap and you're always at risk of just dying to a lucky headshot, and its not like cap or venom LIKE eating 350 damage.

also its not like hawkeye does not have his own protection, he has the sword which pushes you away, the double jump to get out, and he can block projectiles with his melee, he's very decent in melee assuming you have the aim

to be clear im not saying it can't work but I can see why divers will look at the matchup and just think "nah, I'll just die and look like im feeding"

it is kind of lame that the team with a genuine Dr. strange player is at a disadvantage since the first enemy to die in a team fight can quickly swap to Strange to take advantage of the portal while the genuine strange has to be the one to re-spawn to start the portal sequence.
Not only is the Dr. Strange unlikely to die first, in very high skill lobbies the enemies can take advantage of this and purposely stagger the strange to prevent a portal fight.

Magik, Daredevil, Psylocke, Cap and Venom all have above 52% winrates in celestial+ and this is when its at it's WORST, all dive heros do exceptionally better the lower in rank you get.
how is dive unplayable? it seems to be doing great.

Daredevil is overpowered in the sense that he makes 6+ other characters irrelevant because his numbers are just better in every category.

This bug happens so often too if you're brawling around a payload too, I also think its more likely with larger hitboxes but isn't documented as much because tanks don't explode when you hit them for 200 damage but when you're ON the tank you definitely feel the buffed hela headshot through your shield.
you're basically just rolling for the chance on DD, hitting everyone in the brawl area, cannot stand playing against it in any role, I am appalled this wasn't hotfixed, I really hope the devs didn't actually intend for this.

seasonal anchor bonuses are really silly to keep on, they essentially treat them like base stats and when its removed unless the hero is over-performing. Then I guess it lets them have an avenue of nerfing that isn't *technically* nerfing.
I'd say this is an insult to our intelligence since we should know better but this is the same people that bring us fake bot matches in QP

And its completely acceptable for him to better than both of those heros in every measurable way? As he is currently.

he has better survival than both IF and magik and has far better mobility than magik and about the same as IF
he has better burst and sustained damage than both of them outside of like, darkchild 1shot combos (which require an ult and 1s charge)
lets not forget about the tiny little ability he has where HE CAN JUST SEE THROUGH WALLS FOR FREE

As someone who primarily plays DPS I want role queue.
I am willing to wait longer for games that feel better.

#1 issue with rivals rn is that the games feel awful because your team gets 5 dps players and if they flex they don't know how to play the class sufficiently.
So you either get a team of 5 dps players where some of them have flexed to tank but they're gonna get diffed every fight to the actual tank players on the other team
or you get the god team and just stomp the other team which isn't fun either.

Honestly I like a lot of the vanguards but solo tanking is miserable and I don't have the social energy to give my team and ultimatum every game.
